Changing my "@alias" following the my character name

Howdy folks,
I've seen some threads mentioning the concern regarding the "@alias" after character names which was a one off text box fill in during account creation. How does one change this alias?

(I'm marginally concerned that it could be used for malicious means)

Much appreciated.

You need to contact billing support.

    Much appreciated.

The support ticket system seems to be borked at the moment though, I can't actually create a ticket.

support@crypticstudios.com but only use this if the tickets are broken, the ticket system gives them more data and email just adds a delay while somebody converts it into a ticket.

Will the @alias be cleared when we go to open release or are we stuck with it unless we contact Billing?

judging by what little the devs have said about this it looks like they can't be bothered fixing the problem and simply expect everyone to have this TRIBBLE little "feature" ingame and if they don't like it go contact billing

Glad I found this thread, as I'm sure some of you can guess a lot of people have some trouble with mine.

I understand the reason for the @name isn't there a way to have that but be invisible?

You can have it be invisible to you, in your chat window, but all other players in-game will still see it. This was a design decision.

It was a design flaw you mean... because with that anyone can take your name and brute force hack your account.
It's so simple a 2 year old could do it. All it takes it time.

Again, the display name is *NOT* your account name unless you've had your account a very long time, or made a very stupid decision recently, and if either of those are the case you can have it changed.

Anyone trying to brute-force an account will quickly find they need to wait longer than the expected heat death of the universe. Brute force attacks in MMOs are more or less unheard of.
