Not all the time. Very seldomly though. Usually once or twice a day. I can usually get in several good hours of play in before it happens.
The screen goes black and there is a buzzing noise that comes through the speakers. I cant even reset my PC. Locks it up. I have to hit the power switch on the back of the PC. I dont have this issue with other games so Id like to think its something to do with STO.
Anyone else have this problem or something similar from time to time?

If you are using Realtek onboard sound (No sound card), check your drivers. Some people were having this issue in the CB and it turned out to be a driver issue with Realtek onboard sound processors. Updating to the current drivers seemed to fix it.
According to Device Manager/Windows Update it couldn't find a newer version. Would a driver installer program be able to find something newer or is that pretty much that, concerning the driver?
