Why did I download a 7.50 gb piggs folder if it is not used?

After using the downloader I Installed the game and it's patching 10 gb's which appears to be going into the piggs folder in the public/games/cryptic studios/piggs folder which as far as I can tell was empty. Anyhow it does not seem that the 7.5 gb pigg folder did much good.

I had the same issue; the piggs folder was empty because my D2D download was corrupt. Re-downloading it worked and my patch was only ~170 MB in size.

The entire game is in the piggs folder, you are essentially now downloading the uncompressed game files that were compressed in the .zip

Don't finish this patch, uninstall and reinstall from an extract from the zip file. This happened to me when I did a reinstall, and I was able to fix it by re-extracting the data from the original zip file and installing from there. Did you extract the Zip file before you started? Maybe you installed directly from the zip file?

Anyway, you should have a 170 MB patch not 10gb, if you have 10gb try again.
