I am getting the same error with Vista 64 bit system, it tells me the installer for the client is not compatible with the system I am running and to contact the software publisher.

    Hi All,

Just to comment I have also downloaded the version from FilePlanet and this has worked fine to install on My Windows 7 x64 installation.

I would suggest checking the following or trying the following:

Disable UAC during the installation, Go to Control Panel and then User Accounts and then Change User Access Control Settings and turn these off (You will need to reboot)

Also I would make sure that the user accounts are within the Administrator Group.

Go to Control Panel and then User Accounts and then Account Type and make sure this is set to an Administrator Account.

    I hope this helps.

    K1RK.

I would also suggest trying the same for Vista x64.

I was just having the same error... Running Vista Home premium x64. I fixed it by redownloading (I know this sucks!). I noticed that the first time I downloaded, the EXE had a generic windows icon, and after I redownloaded, it had an icon of the STO logo. After redownload it installed with no problems. (I didn't have to run as administrator or in compatibility mode.) I hope this helps

Not sure what error you get.

I'm running Win 7 Ultimate x64 and STO starts normally. Checking the taskmanager, I see it runs in 32bit mode...

Win 7 x64 works fine with Beta. Check your drivers.

Only problem here was that I was told to upgrade to latest Nivida driver (195.62) and also had to reinstall the Nvidia 3d drivers and resit them after the video driver upgrade.

My solution is kind of... uhm...

I deleted all files, restored the files and guess what: it worked! Even the ST:O logo apeared after restoring...

    I know... :P
