Hey guys, just a quick question.

I'm gonna download the Open Beta client on steam, will I have to download a new client when the game launches or will it automatically switch to the Live game version ?

    Official information has not been released on this matter, but going by common sense and how things were handles in other games, you will be able to use the OB client for the live game. Patches may be released between today and the time the game goes live, and of course you'll need these patches (and they may be fairly big downloads), but downloading the entire client again will most likely not be necessary.

    You can auto patch just about any client.. but a word to the weary, try your download method and also try some others (ie. torrent, games.on.net, fileplanet etc.) and see which one goes faster.

    I personally downloaded 3 different clients at once because there was alot of speculation going on about the different client versions and which can be patched to which.

    The best one (if you can get your hands on it) is ST.0.20100108a.0

    You will be able to patch up. We were told this many times in closed beta.
