Account Error, please contact Billing Support

My account worked fine during the closed beta, and I added my STO open beta key this afternoon and received no errors.

Now, when I try to log in, I get this: "Account Error, please contact Billing Support."

So I click the link and get this:

...That you can submit and review tickets to Billing and Technical Support from the website? Please Click Here* to access your "My Tickets" where you can submit a help request or follow up on a previous request.

So I click the link, and get this:

This page cannot be found. Why not enjoy a comic instead?

I'm not amused, Cryptic.

And if I go directly to the support page here: http://www.startrekonline.com/support, the link to the support page isn't even active.

I would LOVE to take this up with your Billing Support people rather than post here, but frankly, I can't.

    If you look at the top right hand corner the servers are down that means you cannot connect to the patcher...So all should get this message..

    Argh ! its to much !!! no really i dont think i will be able to sleep till one o'clock eastern time.Willing to try but not enuf synthehol in the fleet atm so that not an option lol

    I would think that if the servers were down I'd get a message saying "Servers are down", not "Account Error, please contact Billing Support".

    But I'll chill and see what happens...

    I thought the same as you, but my wife just put in her open beta code and it works. However Im in the same boat as you. I added my Steam Open Beta key to my account which already had closed beta on it and now I can't hit anything.

    Please help.

    It should be back online for patching now, so that error should be gone if your account is setup correctly.

    Having the same problem on my end. I'm assuming it's just a glitch, I'm gonna let it be until the beta starts proper.

    I had the same trouble. Closed the client and re-opened and it started patching...try that? Hope it works out for you!

    it says server is down but it still patches so just wait for it.

    Mine is patching...but on the top right it says "Server Down" in red. Now I'm confused.

    I'm having the same problem too. I thought the server was supposed to be up for patching?


    --Just tried getting in for the 4th time and it's now patching. :D

    Don't worry about it so much, If you have the latest version it should be a very small patch in comparison to the rest of the game.

    If you are getting this error, and you downloaded the OPEN BETA, not the closed. Please make note of it.

    Not sure why it should state to contact Billing support since I've entered ALL my closed beta keys, pre-order keys, etc. Sounds like the servers are fubar tonight.

    The Holodeck login system is down for maintenance, including the mail server.

    Well I was having the same error but now it loaded, patched this small patch, and the game actualy loaded. The login servers are down of course but it did let me load the game and play with the settings.

    Yep, appears to be back up, but theres still plenty of time for it to go down again. :D

    Past the account error bit and at login but it is still showing as version 108a.0 and I thought there was going to be an update from that.

    Not until the servers open, or perhaps a few hours before that.

    I had this same problem. I am NOT CB. I tried to run STO again and the problem was resolved.

    same problem here.. CB client. says server down and gives the billing error message.

    i'm using the closed beta client and still get the account error, guess i'll try downloading the new client...
    there goes another 8GB of my 50GB quota, plus 14 hours to download it... :(

    EDIT: tried one more time and it started patching, woot! that saves my quota and my time :)
