I was downloading the patch for open beta when my launcher closed. I thought, no big deal, it will start where i left off, so i go back in and it wont start downloading again, at the bottom of the page it says "Account error, please contact Billing Support." What does this mean?
I had account error and checked my email where it recommended uninstalling and then going to beta to download. I did so and it tells me I need to repost my code again. My account still shows my champions online closed beta stuff and my preorder but I can't redownload the game anymore.
Id really like to start it downloading before all the new beta folks start doing the same.
I imagine the problem is that the server is down and the error message is just generic.
It would be useful to know the following though. If i leave my downloader open while the server is down, and the server comes back up, will it automatically start up again or does it need to be restarted. I hope it works automatically as i'm gonna get some sleep and leave this bad boy on.
I too have just downloaded installed and opened laucher to see that server is down so no biggie if it is but get lickle worried when i see at the bottom it says account error... my brother just jumped on and actually made it in game but got message saying can not enter at this time so has the server gone down within that last 40mins or do i really have a account problem
It's definitely because the Server's Down that we're getting the "Contact Billing Support Message".
I assure you.
Just gotta wait for them to fire up the server again, I guess.
Hope so, i logged in with my pc that i had done the torrent download from and it worked, tried my laptop which i had downloaded the previous closed beta software to and i got that message.

If you were in closed beta, then your key is upgraded to open beta access, or so i've heard.
I just opened Launcher, says server is back up, and im patching, although it appears i've lost the thirty-some percent i had previously downloaded.
Not actually true, you got the thirty-some percent, it's just that the patcher picks up where it left off and resets the percentage to 0. The patcher goes file by file, it doesn't download one big file and then extract it or anything like that.
Also, just want to make sure every knows, the Billing support thing is just the error that shows up when the server is down. Just wait till it's back up. I was sorta hoping that Cryptic would get around to fixing that bug.

Im letting the older client i downloaded patch on this machine its pretty darn slow.
i also have this now on one of my computers. i installed the game, patched it, and immediately after the patch was done i loaded the game.. it started fine and i could get to the main menu. i closed it down. and tried to load it again, and now i get the ACCOUNT ERROR message on the patcher.
ii installed the game on another computer, patched it, and it started up again just fine.. but just in case, i minimized the game and im leaving it open on the menu screen until open beta starts....
im not gonna let some stupid glitch get in my way.

Also, when I try to contact billing support, it goes to the "page not found" page.
I am as well.
I'll check back in an hour or so and see if I still get the same error.
I know, why would they say to go there if theres no page?
In my case, it took me to the Billing and FAQ page...
Then theres a litttle link which should lead you to where you can open a ticket, but "Page not found."

I didn't see a post about closed beta participants needing a different key or such...but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Some official notification on here would be nice...but this isn't a world ender for me.

The support ticket link says page not found.
Edit: Yes it does say "SERVER DOWN" in the corner.

Got the client version by running the GameClient.exe file.
I am assuming this is all we can do until tomorrow when OB opens up...???
