The Pentium D is below specs. The game list a Core 2 Duo. The Pentium D is two generations older then the Core 2 Duo. A lot of the tech in the Core 2 processors are from AMD. Pentium D just can run the set of instruction that these newer processors can. Your motherboard is over 4 yrs old and a DELL. Dell hasn't release a software update for it since 2005. You could add a Core 2 processor to it but it just wouldn't give you the best performance. It's just not worth putting anymore money into it.
That site you ran the test have been giving a lot of false positives. You can try the game, but I think on your system it just won't be enjoyable. It's time for a new system. Don't buy a "retail PC". Since you been upgrading your system you maybe able to build your own PC. We can help you with that. The GPU and maybe the DVD can be reuse. If the HDD is a IDE you won't be able to use it. Everything else must go include the PSU.
Are there any good computer stores in your area? Where do you live?
Also, CyberPower Inc. is having a sale right now. You can get their AMD $559.00 special and upgrade the GPU to a GTX 260 for a net price of $702.00. This system will be very upgradable. You could upgrade to a Phenom II later.
i was figureing on building a new comp sometime over the summer as i can afford it. money is very tight atm so its gonna be an over time type thing. so from what your saying i would need essentually a new power supply, case, motherboard, and prossesor correct? if im missing anythign please let me know.
as for stores only two i know of in my area would be a frys and a comp usa i beleave i live in the suburbs of chicago around wheaton. i much prefer using comp usa myself as ive had some bad experiances in frys. if what i need is right my buget atm is pretty low have a crappy job to barely pay the bills after loseing my good one havnt been able to find another REAL job but willing to spend the money twice once to get me by dicently and again later on when im stable again.

I used to work for both Fry's and Compusa out here. Their salespeople really don't know anything. Which is why they didn't try to keep me. I knew too much and my customers were happy.
I prefer Gigabyte or Biostar but that Biostar MB has the better chipset. 790GX/SB750 is really good. Both MBs can support Phenom II AM3 cpu for later expandability.

In theory is this a good bundle. I am not a fan of XION PSU. They are a hit/missing manufacture. Sometimes they work for years other times they're DOA or die in a few months. There not even certify 80 plus.
Check out the reviews. Worst case you'll need to buy a new PSU in a few months.
O' make sure that CPU comes with a FAN you may need to buy one. A lot of times barebones systems don't have CPU fans.
What video card would you guys recommend that'll work with a 425W power supply?
Each manufacture has deference power requirement for their cards. Look that these card types and see which ones fix your needs.
Graphic Gaming cards:
Entry level:
ATI HD 4650 and 4670 cards only needs a 400 to 450 W PSU.
Nvidia Geforce GT 240 needs a 350 W PSU
Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT needs a 400 W PSU.
All four of these cards usually do not need a 6 pin PCIE cable. Always check the box for system requirements.
STO Gaming level med. Price ranges on these cards are under $100.00. The ATI's usually a better choice here on a price/performance.
Mid Level:
ATI HD 4850,4890, 5750, 5770 and the Nvidia 9800 GT, 9800 GTX, GTS 250 needs a 425 to 500 W PSU with one 6 pin PCIE cable. Always check the box for system requirements.
STO Gaming level High. Price Range: $100-230.00.

PC Power and Cool, Antec True Power, Corsair, Cooler Master, Enermax, Thermaltake to name a few. Always look for "80 Plus" PSU.
Yes, the game will run fine.
EDIT: The good thing about buying this bundle from a store is if the PSU is DOA you can just take the PSU only without the case to the store to get a replacement.

That a good PSU.
I can't see what in your shopping cart. It's secure. See if you can put it in the Wish List and make it Public.
Always flash the bios and make sure the fan/heatshink is rated for you CPU.

TRIBBLE. I saw that on Dell I could get 12 months same as cash on a new alienware system so I reactivated my old business account to see how much I could get.
So I have some questions from the alienware laptop build. Keep in mind that the main thing I will use the laptop for is gaming, making powerpoint presentations for school, and some mild video editing. Oh, and I have some incredibly large word files that are compiled from my years of schooling.
1. Processor. Would there be much discernible difference between:
- Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache) [Included in Price]
- Intel Core i7 820QM 1.73GHz (3.06GHz Turbo Mode, 8MB Cache) [add $270 or $8/month]
2. LCD - is the second option worth it for gaming and occasionally watching a movie?
- 15.6-inch WideHD+ 1600x900 (900p) WLED [Included in Price]
- 15.6-inch WideFHD 1920x1080 (1080p) WLED [add $90 or $2/month1]
Choose WideFHD for full 1080p
3. Memory - is there much difference with the faster rate?
- 3GB DDR3 at 1066MHz [Included in Price]
- 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz [add $45 or $2/month1]
- 3GB DDR3 at 1333MHz [add $23 or $1/month1]
- 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz [add $68 or $2/month1]
4. Battery - does the 6 cell battery life srsly suck?
- Primary - 6-cell (56Watt) Lithium-Ion Battery [Included in Price]
- Primary - 9-cell (85Watt) Lithium-Ion Battery [add $90 or $3/month1]
5. Extra monitor - was planning on using my old flat-panel monitor when necessary. The alienware monitor is advertised to decrease lag...is it really that big of a deal?
- Alienware AW2210 22 inch Flat Panel Monitor Product details [$299 or $9/month1]
Low Input-Lag for Intense Gaming!

I don't think the the speed deference is worth $270.00.

You won't be able to even see 1080p on the screen less the 42". The higher resolution would be nice for gaming but it would be better on a 22" or 24" monitor. I would put the cash towards a monitor.
3. Memory - is there much difference with the faster rate?

I would go with 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz. Either way get 4GB.
4. Battery - does the 6 cell battery life srsly suck?
- Primary - 6-cell (56Watt) Lithium-Ion Battery [Included in Price]
- Primary - 9-cell (85Watt) Lithium-Ion Battery [add $90 or $3/month1]
On this system Battery life will suck. Any Desktop replacement will suck. Get the better battery. You can always get a USB Battery pack.

Don't buy the monitor. It's over price. If you really want one get it Viewsonic VX series or Samsung. LG has new 120 Ghz. These are better and a lot cheaper. Never buy a bundle monitor.
My apologies on not getting the right info the first time.
Is this a bad processor?
Good, I thought that was it. You're OK. The Phenom II are better. But you won't enjoy the true performance improvements unless you install it on a socket AM3 board. I would fret over it too much. http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3492
My MB is AM2+ and I am running a Phenom II. If you got the cash go for it.
- The 9150e "e" fix a lot of the problems that the Phenom I had.
You should be able to play STO on Very High.

Video Card
Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce 7950 / ATI Radeon X1800 / Intel HD Graphics
I Have: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
CPU
Minimum: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 3800+
I Have: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz
I don't think these match the minimum requirements.
Do you think I would still be able to run the game on low setting? If I need to upgrade, which should I upgrade? Do I need to upgrade both?
Long story short, my mom already preordered and bought the game for me as a Christmas present, and I have $100 to spend. I'm not getting any more money anytime soon. So that's my budget. HELP.

The info you provide is vague. What this your pc make/model? On your PC do a search for dxdiag.exe run it. On the bottom there is a button "save all info" save it as a Txt file to the desktop. Open it and post it here. I know it's big.

8 GB Ram
