Well I would try updating the BIOS but the problem is I am running Windows 7 and the installer will not complete because I do not "meet the requirements" and my guess is because I am not running Vista and yes I tried compatibility mode.
    Try "Run As Admin"

Nope, it still gives me that error message, and I already checked my BIOS and it's version 5.22 and yes I know I can update it.

Update on my new laptop computer: I ran the Can You Run It tool.
    CPU
Recommended: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 or AMD Athlon X2 5600+
    You Have: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz

Upgrade Suggested: Unfortunately, your CPU does not meet this requirement. Click here to see some recommendations.

Boooo! It seems that while I got a passing grade on all the other areas, the CPU is holding me back some. So I can run STO with mid-range performance but not recommended performance.

I don't suppose that this part can eventually be replaced?

I don't see your specs in your post. What CPU do you have? What motherboard? Or is this a laptop?
Meets the Max Reqiurements. No way. That site is miss reporting that card.
    http://magicboxlive.blogspot.com/2008/11/nvidia-rebranding-geforce-9-to-g100.html

EDIT: There is no really info the the G 100 series cards. All rumors no one has tested them.

Yup, I agree with White Knight. I would advise an upgrade for anyone with a G 100 unless you want laggy, sub-par gameplay at probably 10 to 20 FPS at lowest settings. The G 100 is a value line OEM card (only sold bundled with a PC). It's not intended to be sold to gamers as it's marketing as a card for "vibrant photos and smoother videos": http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_g_100_us.html

This is why there is no review of it. It's not a card you'd buy separately.

    Video Ram = 2.2 GB
    Hardware T&L = YES
    Pixel Shader Version = 4.0
    Vertex Shader Version = 4.0

This is a list of numbers that it showed that the G100 was runniing at.

Oh on a side note, McAfee reported that Magic Box live has a lot of problems.

No video card has 2.2 GB of video memory. That's a report from your system that is either wrong or using DX10 or DX11 and memory virtualization (adding some system memory to the texture cache). The G 100 is speced from NVIDIA for 512MB of video memory.

I assume you have the PC now. Do a search on your PC for dxdiag.exe run it. On the bottom there is a button "Save All Info", save it as a .txt file on you desktop and open it and post it here.

I live in the California USA so don't be surprise if you don't here for me for a few hours. It 1:37 AM my time right now.

Erm -it's a wall of text - I'm sending it as PM - post relevant or just PM me with answer... Thanks!

That BIOS update probably just doesn't work under Windows 7.

Base on the BIOS Date: 03/28/08 16:53:51 Ver: 5.22 I would recommend not using any CPU that's been release after that date. That will eliminate Yorkfield line. That leave the Wolfsdale, Kentsfield, and the Conroe cores. I just don't feel comfortable with the Yorkfield line without that BIOS update. You could try it if you really want too. Just make sure you can return the CPU.

List of Intel Core 2 microprocessors Stay away of any CPU release after January 2008 and you should be OK.

You can post it here (or just the top portion of it). Or better yet, post it to a web service that you can link here such as http://pastebin.com/.

I know White Knight doesn't like to work in PMs (neither do I) as seeing the indicator for new PMs on STO forums is poor. On top of that, all of us can help you if you post here instead of using PMs.

You've just stonewalled yourself to the point of no one wanting to help you. If there is a BIOS update for your PC out there by HP (the manufacturer of your motherboard), you should apply it.

You have a integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE chip. Not good for gaming. The good news is your system should have a 300 W PSU and a free PCIE X16 slot. I would recommend getting a ATI HD 4650 or 4670. They only need 300 W to run. Now next month the new ATI 5650 and 5670 should be out. The will replace the other cards. These cards should let you play at med/high. If cash is tight try a 3650 it a little dated but should work nicely.

If you want a better GPU you would need to replace the PSU. A GTS 250 or ATI 5570 will needs a 450 W PSU with a 6 pin PCIE cable. A GTX 260 a 550 W PSU and 2 PCIE cables.

Now the MB is a ASUS M2N68-LA. But there are four versions of this board. The Narra-GL8E, Narra2-GL8E, Narra3-GL8E and I forgot the other one. If you want to upgrade the CPU (STO you are OK) you will need to open the PC to see which one. That will tell use what CPU's can be uses. The Narra3-GL8E is the one we are hoping for since it is a AM2+ socket which can support Phenom I cpus. The other three boards are only AM2.

I would recommend these three models from newegg.
    ASUS K70AB-X2A ATI HD 4570 17.3" $699.99,
    ASUS X83VP-X1 ATI HD 4650 14.1" $799.99,
    HP Pavilion DV6-2144NR ATI HD 4650 15.6" $799.99.

I personally think the ASUS K70AB-X2A ATI HD 4570 17.3" is the better choice because of the screen size. The 4650 GPU is fast then the 4570 but not enough at this price point.

    EDIT: I change my mind.
TOSHIBA Satellite A505-S6985 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T6600(2.20GHz) 16" $799.99. The NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M is better the the ATI 4650.

Check you local ads. Look for laptops with ATI 4570/4650 or NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M. for ATI you could try 4300 or better. But since you have a $900.00 budget go with the better GPU.

We believe that the minimum specs are a little high. Your system should be able to run STO at low/med. This is a educated guess. Now cipher_nemo may have more info.

White Knight, just wanted to say thanks for your help yesterday. I am probably going to add a few GB of RAM(3-4GB) and upgrade to a 450W PSU so I can run the 9800GT video card. I will hold off on the CPU upgrade to see what this game runs like. If it runs like ST Legacy did, then I will upgrade the CPU too. It will cost me about $300, but that is well within my budget. Thanks again.

Edit - I should mention that I don't need it to look beautiful - I just need it to work and for gameplay to be unhindered.

Do a search on you PC for dxdiag.exe run it. On the bottom there is a button "save all info" save it as a txt file. Open it and post here.
VMware for High Graphic games won't work. Do you have a Intel Mac? If so which model? You may be able to run boot-camp.
