Looking forward to the future, this new episode, this anniversary, and seeing what you have for us in the pipe for the future. Your letter was very inspiring and definitely calmed this players nerves! Thanks for the update!
The comment about social media events will be their downfall I feel. A lot of the player base rely heavily of the forum for patch notes and other in game info which is posted on X first and foremost and the player base who rely on the forum only get such info due to @baddmoonrizin. The new CM team need to utilize the forum more and BETTER to make all the player base not only feel included BUT be included. Too much emphasis is put on SM these days and it is costing companies allowing the owners of SM platforms to just get richer and richer.
Hi Counselor Sunna and DECA Games, welcome to Star Trek Online. Please have someone look at the Vanilla forums to update them, clean out the bugs, make it mobile friendly, and use these forums more not just social media channels. Another suggestion is to use something like a widget, so when a dev or the CM posts something on X/Twitter, Facebook, Bluesky, etc. pertaining to STO it can get posted on the forums as well. Thanks.
Looking forward to new content, I am hoping you guys bring back the foundry!
All the best guys
I guess we can always hope, but I doubt there will be many people left eventually who'll even know what the Foundry is. I mean, I don't think that handing off the work to the new team included training them in systems and parts of the game that have been non-existent for years now.
It's been great to finally hear something from Deca, and to feel the obvious enthusiasm for the future of Star Trek Online.
We've been waiting to hear something from you for what seems like years, and whatever the hold-up, I'm glad you're finally able to communicate.
Thank you for this update/introduction.
Welcome DECA and Counselor Sunna. I'm looking forward to see what you bring to the game.
I hope you'll consider not relying on X as a major point of contact with players. X has become a toxic swamp of racism, hate speech and lies, and many of us choose not to engage with it any more.
Sorry but very disappointed at DECA. You helped destroy Cryptic Studios in the end. It all started with Atari. Cryptic had a great plan and then slowly it got trashed. Then PW came in and slowed it all down. Then it got sold again and stayed slowed down. Are you going to bring back the original Cryptic Studio vibe that loved this game and had awesome ideas? Don't let us down like PW did.

DECA did not destroy Cryptic Studios, the Embracer CEO did that with a failed Saudi gaming company investment that went nowhere and caused this whole fiasco. If he had a Plan B none of this would have happened. This is not DECA 's fault.
I'll be that person... PLEASE Deca Devs, start a new character and play it through. Note all the things that should not be.. call them bugs or whatever, and then look at fixing it. the biggest one is your level 12 toon getting mission in the endgame because Quinn popped up and said go do this
Welcome to STO, Sunna! Your announcement that this anniversary episode is just the first part of a still continuing arc has me intrigued. Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow's new episode has to offer.
Welcome aboard, DECA and Counselor Sunna! I am looking forward to your vision for Star Trek Online.

Looking for a new fleet? Drop by the in-game chat channel, "tenforwardforum", and say hi to the members of A Fleet Called Ten Forward (Fed) and The Orion Pirates (KDF). If you already have a fleet you are happy with, please feel free to drop by our chat channel if you are looking for a friendly bunch of helpful people to socialize with.
When does my intense therapy start, Counselor? :P I might have more quirks than Barclay did in TNG just from playing from the head start phase of Star Trek Online. Welcome in, Counselor Sunna and DECA Games. Here's hoping that this is the start of the best era of STO to date!
...level 12 toon getting mission in the endgame because Quinn popped up...
In Star Trek Online, missions scale to player level, so if you take one of the late-storyline missions, the enemies you encounter will be level 12, with level 12 abilities, and not level 65.

"I am Counselor Sunna, your Community Manager for Star Trek Online! I’m incredibly excited to join this wonderful community! As someone who grew up on the classic Star Trek shows, and has studied Science Fiction Media for a long time, it feels like things have come full circle. You will hear more from me soon - I plan to re-watch a lot of trek content, sift through literature, and share my totally normal obsession with Tribbles with all of you! (There’s truly no escape - not from me or the Tribbles)"
Well nice to have you join us, hopefully soon we'll be seeing you post here on the forums, then we'll all be able to get to know you a bit better!

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

Alas, that's highly unlikely to happen.
I hope you'll consider not relying on X as a major point of contact with players. X has become a toxic swamp of racism, hate speech and lies, and many of us choose not to engage with it any more.
