Bridge Officer bug

So for the second time for as long as I have been playing this game when I got a new bridge officer I went to customize her, after I was done the character I had just got done with instead of saving all the changes I made on my new character, they over wrote one of my other characters, looks, display name (only in the tailor menu, in my bridge officer tab in the main menu her name was still the same) but her appearance was changed to that of all the customizations I had just made to my new one, so I had to go back and not only re-customize my new bridge officer, but I had to go and completely change the look of my other officers as none of what she was was available anymore because the game save over her with my new character, it has happened twice with new characters, it has saved over the same character twice cause me to have to go and give the same officer a complete overhaul twice, and the tailor menu lags, it takes like ten min just to go and change like one or two things
