To be honest, none of the ships stats, visuals, consoles or traits hold any sort of appeal to me.
To others it may be worth a purchase, but I'll walk away from this one.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Hopefully the original skins from the T5 versions can be used on the T6s like usual, or even better, kitbashable with the T5s (though I doubt it from the looks of the new ones).
T1-T5 ships don't generally get T6 skins, it's the other way around: Higher tier ships get lower tier skins.
As long as you own the T6 ships, you can use the T6 skins of a ship class on the lower tier ships.
I don't see why the Dyson T6 ships would be any different.
In most cases, you also need to own T5 ships to use their skins on the T6 version.

These are not great ships in terms of stats. The traits are super garbage, consoles not worth using. It appears from what we saw on the stream that the experimental is a lot worse then the proton experimental we already have in the game.... though to be fair until someone really tests a fully upgraded one its hard to say.
Pretty sure I'll be skipping this one. If we can use a T6 coupon maybe I'll buy the KDF or ROM one to gain access to the experimental if it isn't complete garbage. I really don't see the point in the pack though. The KDF ship is probably the only ship that might make a passable DEW sci build. Having said that the S31 sci destroyer is a better Intel battle cloaking sci destroyer.
I am underwhelmed and fairly disappointed. Why are you guys trying to still make shields a thing... after a year or so of decent ship releases, seeing ships with secondary shield traits, and dmg based on secondary shields seems pretty regressive. No one will ever use any of these ship traits.
Went through the trouble of signing in again just to say I appreciate the release of these ships - specifically the Klingon and Romulan ones.
The traits are a garbage fire and whomever came up with them needs to spend more time in the game and in actual community buildcraft circles. The consoles are.. a lukewarm refresh of their T5 counterparts - they're fine, but nothing that would actively push the sale of these ships that obviously had a lot of time and effort put in to create, visually. The folks who built these ships deserve a better return on investment than these 'performance' selling points will probably result in. (To paraphrase, I'm a bit salty that we're finally getting non-starfleet c-store ships and they're getting hamstrung by poor gameplay design/stat values.)
With that said: the more I brainstorm the KDF version, the more I am coming to adore it. We finally have a nice sci-torp platform that can fit both Concentrated Fire 3 and Kinetic Magnet 3(There are other ships that can run both, but none with a SecDef or Subsystem Targeting.). With Carrier Wave Shield Hacking and Opening Salvo, this is going to be a very nasty(and likely overlooked) torpedo-assassin.

I meant as a free unlock, without buying the T6. T1-T5 can often use the T6 but only if they buy it. T6 can often (not always -- see the TOS ships) use the T1-T5 without buying them.
I love the self-irony of the Rallus. Now that we are back to deliberately mediocre ships and less-than-mediocre assets, the new Romulan vessel is not named after a bird of prey, but a water rail.

Unfortunately the Romulan one has a far bigger problem than the stats and the name, the dealbreaker is that it has a warp core instead of the singularity core it should have. It looks like I will have to stick with the T5UX2s that I am currently running and not bother with these new ships since I would only be able to afford one for cash and that would have been the Rallus.
I also noticed the T5 dyson ship consoles were part of a 4 piece set including the secondary deflector. the updated T6 set doesn't include the secondary deflector.
The costume unlcoks are the same as the ones we can get from the Fleet Spire, correct? They didn't do any cool updates or changes, did they? Still comes with the sexy skirt?
I want this bundle, but was hoping for a sale better than 25%... I'm not quite there... I may have to keep saving and hope for another sale soon... hope hope fingers crossed...

The consoles could be very useful for drain builds. There is a lot of love for the old Dyson ships and people have been asking for T6 versions for years. Personally I'm not a fan of Science Destroyers but these have pretty decent stats and they look pretty good. An average (or slightly above average) pack imho.

Personally, my favorite ship types are science spearheads and science destroyers, which makes the core FUBAR on the Romulan ship so disappointing since that is the one I would have bought.
Wish it could come with the secondary deflector and warp cores from the Lobi versions. Would help with finally finishing the incomplete set from the Step between the stars mission rewards.

The Solanae Secondary Deflector is, how can i put this nicely, utter trash.
It is a healing Secondary Deflector which barely heals and has almost nonexistent stats.
The only thing positive to be said about it is that it was the first Secondary Deflector we got access to and it taught us to immediately switch to the other types of Secondary Deflector.

I'm surprised there isn't a Jem Hadar Dyson ship, why I'm not getting the set.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

I'm surprised there isn't a Jem Hadar Dyson ship, why I'm not getting the set.
Why would you be surprised that there is not a Jem'Hadar or Dominion Dyson ship? When the Dyson storyline first came to STO, there were three factions: the Federation, the Klingon Defense Force, and the Romulan Republic. The Doms or the Jem'Hadar did not come to STO until Victory is Life and even then they have to ally with either the Federation or the Klingons like the Romulan Republic also has to do. While I can understand the sentiment, it does not make sense with what happened then and what transpired with Victory is Life.
With that said, I think that what people think is the Tier 6 Obelisk, to some it looks like it has some Jem'Hadar design to it, so there might be a homage to them in that ship or maybe a new Jem'Hadar ship unrelated to the Dyson ships could be coming and has not arrived yet.
I love the self-irony of the Rallus. Now that we are back to deliberately mediocre ships and less-than-mediocre assets, the new Romulan vessel is not named after a bird of prey, but a water rail.

It looks like I will have to stick with the T5UX2s that I am currently running and not bother with these new ships since I would only be able to afford one for cash and that would have been the Rallus.
I agree. If they do not add back the singularity core, I won't purchase the ship with the accumulated zen I have and will stay with the Romulan Dyson Ship I have on my Romulan character. I usually do not purchase much with the zen I have.
There is also the in-story factor that the Dominion simply does not need super-rapid automated construction yards way off in Delta quadrant since they already have exactly that back home. Whole fleets of bugships (and probably some capital ships as well) could be wiped out and "be back" three days later (though the larger ships may take a little longer to build) with new ships and crews created in their rapid-construction facilities.
Remember that weird pledge the Jem'Hadar do before battle? They do it because they are considered by the founders, (and some, but apparently not all, Vorta) to be little more than biological expendable smart munitions that only return for reuse if the objective is won.
By strengthening their bond with their fellows (and with an idealized illusion of the Dominion) turning their role as cannon fodder into a sort of quasi-religious calling, that group-think distracts them from thinking of their actual place in the scheme of things and encourages them to fight harder and make the "right" (from the Founder's view) decision when the time for the ultimate sacrifice triggers the fight-or-flight instinct. Human cultures have something similar enabling a range of institutionalized suicide-warrior roles as diverse as the terrorist human-bombers today, the Kamikaze of WWII, and (to some degree, though scholars still argue if it is true) the Spartans of ancient times.

If this doesn't happen it would at least be nice to get an explanation of why it's a warp core.
Was it a huge mistake they're choosing not to fix?
Is it a change in gameplay where they will now be giving every new Romulan ship a warp core? If yes, why? Does this mean no new singularity cores will be added to the game?
If a universal slot isn't possible, perhaps they could have the purchase of the ship unlock two separate variants - core and singularity ships.
Why would anyone WANT a singularity core on it. Are you guys mad ?
Singularity cores have been power creeped to stupid tier. -40 power for what a little jump power... a useless AOE dot, a useless weapon skill, and a decoy thing?
Especially for a Sci destoryer... if you plan to run these as DEW sci why would you want to drop -40 for some gimicks that haven't been good in at least 5 years now?
That it is a Romulan ship with a standard warp core is what makes the ship actually usable. I mean traits and consoles are probably the worst ever put on a ship... but the warp core change was an actual good change.

People wanting a singularity core on the Tier 6 Rallus are not mad. I would support a revamp of singularity cores including powers not their removal from the game or from the new ship. Again, if one wants to have a warp core it should be an option or if one wants to have a singularity core then that should be an option. I like my Tier 5 Romulan Dyson Ship which has a singularity core on it. Thank you kindly!

Uh,... Y'all realise we'd need 9 of them to get the ships to T6-X2?
Still, I'm so excited for this looooooooooooooong-overdue bundle!!
I'm also glad to see that everything that should be account-wide reclaimable, is going to be account-wide reclaimable.
Now, y'all need to make the unique gear and bridge officers in the Legendary packs reclaimable...
Is there a pic of the costume unlocks somewhere?
