Why Can't the Mars Pilot Escort use the Piloting Modifications Set consoles?

The question is the title.
The [T6] Mars Pilot Escort is clearly a Pilot Escort.
The consoles of the Piloting Modifications Set state that they can only be used on:
"Any Pilot Escort, Pilot Raptor or Pilot Warbird"
Before someone says that a Pilot Escort and a Mars Pilot Escort are different things, let me stop you before you make a fool of yourself.
The 3 FED Pilot Escorts are all 5/2/x just like the Mars. They all have class names (Mercury, Ajax, and Icarus) just like the Mars. The Mercury Class Pilot Escort has the same console layout as the Mars, and the same number of device slots.
Add the Mars' Subspace Cavitation Matrix console to the Piloting Modifications Set and make it a 4-piece.
This was obviously an oversight on the Dev's part. Right?
