Star Trek Online will have maintenance on all platforms tomorrow, 5/10. It will begin at 6am PT for PC, and last for 3.5 hours. You can find the patch notes for all platforms here:
The Delta Recruitment has not been updated right? It was updated last year. I don’t know why we actually bother to read this stuff when it is using dated information.
I don't know what is more amazing. That Kael got the date right for the patch notes for a change or the Vesta updates. Who am I kidding?! It's definitely the Vesta updates, although Kael getting the patch notes date right is a pretty rare accomplishment. :P

Why? If you didn't start it until late...oh well? Events come back around every so often (this is either #2 or #3 for delta recruit) so just do it then?
The ONLY times I've known them to extend events was if the maintenance severely cuts into it. Once they had an unexpected crash that caused emergency maintenance that lasted the last 3 days of the event. They gave us those 3 days, because 3 days CAN make a difference. 2 hours? Not so much.

Fair guess: could take all day, but it could be fixed while typing this...
Patience is a virtue...
For those of us in the UK/Europe, maintenance begins mid-afternoon. Delays such as caused by this can often mean we lose an evening of playtime.
However, these unforeseen things do happen and there's nothing we can really do except let the Team do their job tracking down the issue and find the right way to fix it.
Unfortunately, not everyone is as patient and there will be the loud voices calling for people to be shot slowly or beheaded twice for this unexpected issue.
For them, I have no patience!

Is it really not possible now to share updates about any maintenance delays also on the forum than just through twitter? Not everyone uses those privacy unfriendly social media.

...so they're supposed to leave the event up for weeks afterwards?
Don't try the "that's not what I meant" thing. I've done webgame development and it's exactly what you mean. Why leave pop ups and reminders and even NPCs and zones in game that can't be accessed when the event is expired? That's like rubbing it in people's faces if they, for whatever other reason, can't do said event.
It's also not like EVERYONE didn't already know when X event was ending. The times are very clearly on the website, on all the ads on the launcher, and even on the in-game news about it.
Everyone who is DEMANDING compensation in any form for "missing out on the last hours of the event" is acting like a child who had to go home early on the day of a field trip.

...you don't even need an account to view it on Twitter. No need to "use" it.
