Logging out part way through a mission

Hi,
Will it save my progress if I log out part way through a mission ?
I just remember getting DCed half way through the Vault and having to start all over again ... is that normal ?

I think it really depends on the mission, but as a rule i think it starts at the beginning. the only one I can think of offhand is blood of the ancients. once you get to the pont you beam down, thats where you pick up
