It's almost time to return to Q's Winter Wonderland. Starting next week, you can earn brand new rewards, including a new T6 ship being announced on tomorrow's #TenForwardWeekly!
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.
Ground set looks interesting. Still hoping for a cryo mortar kit module in the future.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Hopefully the bat'leth will have actually viable combat scripting in it unlike all the other bat'leths in the game, something with a closer like J'Ula's mek'leths (which unfortunately Aakar's set lacks). The set itself looks interesting even though chances are the bat'leth will be useless and the only viable weapon in it the pistol.
Agimus, the evil sentient computer, featured on one of the winter sweaters, makes me wish STO would be able to bring back Jeffery Combs to voice the character for an upcoming episode featuring the new Starfleet decks that was shown off recently, maybe onboard one of the recent T6 ships.
(I'd say on our ships, but considering some of our ships have the Nightingale bridge, without any corridors, that would render them moot for the mission)
If you cant announce the new ship AND the event at the same time then you should not announce the event either!
Especially when some of us CANT watch the Ten Forward Weekly!.
What's stopping you from watching it? Do you lack a web browser? If the timing is the issue, it's usually up on YouTube not long after and I'm pretty sure you've heard of it...
...and not to mention, there'd be a blog posted afterwards too.

In my case (though I did not complain), timing (the stream is in the middle of the time I'm at work and I have a non-tech-friendly job), but also that I am strongly a visual rather than auditory learner... trying to glean information from a spoken presentation is hellish. And my living situation does not allow me to have a silent background while watching videos.
I didn't mention it here because:
1) We were promised a written release also.
2) We all know how ships work, and any unique details about this ship can be deduced from the in-game statistics once it becomes available.
However... the recent trend that the devs have been following, of ONLY releasing things in the streams, is starting to become very annoying and disconcerting. Such as questions I have about the EV suit change which have (apparently) "been addressed in last week's stream", etc, according to people replying to threads here on the forums, but they won't actually say what was said in writing, they just say "go watch the video".
It probably doesn't help that none of the Ten Forward Weekly's from the past two months have been uploaded to their YT channel. Maybe Kael can enlighten us as to why this is.
The reveal was embarrassing anyway. Even after numerous people mentioning that his mic volume was too low we forged on without being able to hear him or others yelling at you at 10X the volume.
Winter ship reveal at around 41:13 when Thomas Marrone accidentally tells Kael to apply the [redacted] template...
It's a cruiser, so has all 4 cruiser commands - ENG/sci ship, and the blog for it will be posted on Friday
- Seating = Commander ENG; Lt Cmdr UNI/MW; Lt Cmdr SCI; Lt TAC; Ensign ENG
- Cloak
- Console - Great Material Continuum = passive boosts for power levels & drain; ability = 1k aoe damage up to 10 foes per sec for 15 seconds & then temporary HP for self & team

So for an old TRIBBLE like me who is opposed to video news, what IS the ship? Surely not that toilet seat they announced for the infinity lockbox?
No, it is the one that looks like a golf club with warp nacelles on (or near) the shaft (the Eisenberg class), that in the show is called the USS Nog.
I would have probably preferred the toilet seat (which I think they call Saturn class) since that one is a science spearhead (a type I have come to like from flying the Crossfield and for which there are apparently no account-unlock ships), while the holiday one is a rather versatile but otherwise ordinary cruiser with miracle worker and command seating, even though the toilet seat looks sillier from a functional point of view (that huge gap in the center serves no apparent function and would just serve to waste material in its construction and time for the crew to get anywhere on it).
This is what it looks like (along with a few even dumber looking designs):
Don't tell anyone, the new Infinoty starship is really an Ori warship:
Starfleet Command Directive: Destroy all Ori vessels.
To be honest, I think all of these new designs are quite weird, I prefer my traditional ships that don't look like parts can be left behind in deep space.
Helm Officer: Captain Sir, the port nacelle fell off when we departed orbit.
Captain: Again! That's the 4th time this week and it's only Tuesday! Engineering, build up some pylons to hold the ship together!

I noticed that, too. I think someone should have a few words with whomever does their proofreading.
It says to be announced tomorrow, I'm sure waiting one day won't kill you.

The Event is almost always announced separately from the Ship.

I want my glacial one handed sword!
Back mounted please, the hip mounted versions make me feel like I will keep tripping over them!
