Hi i think I've miss understood something I was under the impression that the ship you chose ie universe class would be unlocked account wide but I don't have the option to reclaim it on other toons

The initial choice box is bound to character, but the content becomes bound to account to be able to move it wherever on the account, and the opening of that content becomes bound to character.

It has been said numerous times as well as described in the Event Rewards that the Promo Choice ship was only a Character unlock once opened. The only thing that is Account Unlock is the ships you pick using the T6 Tokens in the Zen Store.

Not to lay blame on those who messed up, but if one is both unwilling to read/ask clarification nor take safety precautions to ensure your chosen reward ends up on your chosen character, it's really a valuable learning opportunity for when the stakes aren't a video game.

If one knows what they want, and on which character, select that character, claim, select, open, done.

If one is unsure or wants to wait, hit the "claim reward" button of the event campaign on any character, protect that box, put it somewhere safe, it won't ever vanish or expire. Then, read or ask what its content means preferably from a reliable source. It follows all traditional rules, box ships are character bound, C-store ships account wide, lobi currency account wide.
