Wrath of Khan Uniform Pieces not useable by Fed. Romulan

Hi,
I have a little issue with my Federation Aligned Romulan being unable to use the Wrath of Khan Uniform Pieces (from the Genesis Bundle) which include the Excursion Jacket, Engineer's Vest, and the Captain's Vest. The statement it gives me is 'You do not meet the requirements for this item.'.
At first I was understanding as I am not Federation as such, only an 'Ally of the Federation' but then my Jem'Hadar character was able to use them without any issue so they could use it. It really would be nice to have them on my Romulan character for them or my Bridge Officers to use as it is such a shame to see them sitting in my inventory. I hope that this can be fixed in time, and also thank you to anyone who takes the time to read.
