Well... they did design the uniforms for the Enterprise crew to basically be a TOS style DSC uniform. Pike even said they were the new uniforms.
I also liked that there was a skirt variation for females, it was nice touch, the colors alone made Discoprise uniforms look better compared to the standard Discovery uniforms.

i have not seen how they will be made available though...unless i missed it somewhere.
They haven't said how, just that it is coming. I wouldn't be surprised if they were holding it for the premire like they did the initial release of the DSC Uniforms.

I think there was a skirt version of the DSC uniforms too... that we never got...

I think it might be for the same reason we haven't gotten the short sleeved version yet either aka that prime version of those was a blink and you'll miss it background uniform rather then something prominently featured, it might be even possible that Cryptic isn't aware those variation exist if it wasn't in the info CBS gave them.
PS: They did also slightly update the new Fed uniforms that replaced the original Sierra ones. But you can only acquire them at Fleet Starbase, and I think there look very nice. It doesn't change the pants, except for the additional optional pockets, but the Jacket looks a lot finer.
What I've always really hoped more for was a Romulan Republic Uniform update, nothing drastic; just a few expanded uniform options. That's me however... ...still I agree with a others in this thread. That there are a few Uniforms that could use quality improvement, on the material textures, or some of the finer details.
Still perhaps we'll see it, as in a stream a month or so ago, Kael introduced a DEV who had a few models of the Human body. He briefly spoke that they were working on improving the Character Body Detail &/or Face. Still it was just a brief off hand comment, and no idea really about when it may come.

Actually... there's two variants at the starbase, the Dress Uniform and the Excursion Uniform. The Excursion Uniform does come with new pants.
Interesting, I didn't think there was an Odyssey Excursion Pants, I knew it gave a new Belt Buckle; yet your correct as I always forget the high cut pants with boots!
I wonder what Odyssey Uniform Tuvok wears, I really liked the wrist bands look.
Looks like the standard version, could be the dress variant as well.
EDIT:dress variant seems to have the wrist bands though the player versions seem wider
EDIT2: based on the Wiki Tuvok's outfit looks like a mix of the standard and dress variants of the oddy uniform and could be unique to him (possibly an admiral variant in universe but I don't got a version that looks like that and IIRC the excursion variants changes only your pants).

that certainly looks like it, I think Quinn is wearing that too, with DS9 admiral belt think (the one with blue and gold UFP emblem as the belt buckle).
Dunno if it's possible to get that jacket anymore if you didn't get it already.

The Veteran Long Jacket is only available to Lifers.
And yes, Quinn is weaing one. Also I believe Kim and Admiral T'Nae.
It used to be available for 200-day subscribers, so some old players can have access to it without a lifetime sub.

You know what Uniform really needs an update the ugly looking Romulan Republic uniforms, the Jacket alone needs to be stylish and cool, just like how the Romulans were the coolest antagonists of the TOS series, I can't help but rewatch Balance of Terror.
Considering the basic player models from early game to the ones now, or more so, based on the actors from shows, a LOT of character and uniform things really need to be updated. It's getting kind of bad, as more games go 4k and such. Personally, i use the "Infected Complexion" on several of my characters, including my main. THAT is still a horrific "head only" skin job and it looks terrible.
I agree that the uniforms need to be updated and improved but i think too many things in this game are in much need of the same thing.

Infected Skin is for creating Borg Characters, most of their bodies are cybernetic, imagine creating a borg cardie.

For the Romulan Republic, I'm thinking opened jacket with rolled up sleeves, than add the Voth waist accessory to pull off a similar outfit to what Handsome Jack wears, that guy may be evil and insane but he definitely had nice fashion sense.

I've honestly been using the Mirror outfit a lot on my Romulan. Yea its just a vest version of the standard Republic uniform, but I like it.

I was aware of the Dress Uniform though. But still a good point to bring up, especially for the author!
Still was just surprised nobody mentioned those variant's at Fleet Starbase...

Hm I think you're right.
For some reason I remembered him as wearing the dress one from the fleet starbase. But that's obviously not the case (anymore?).
