Flashing space boff skills trays

The bridge officer skills trays flash rapidly when using my Risian Corvette [T6] craft. This is a Gorn captain piloting, if it's any help. The skills flash rapidly, causing some headache and interfering with playing the game. The issue randomly stops if I change locations, but only sometimes. It's happened in a number of locations, like around DS9 and in the Gateway to Grethor map, for example.
