can anyone please tell me whether Event Campaign III Prize: Premium T6 Starship Choice means that the ship is account bound when you unpack it on a character or does it mean the box is account bound until you open it then it becomes character bound like any other lockbox

No one has earned it yet so there's no way to say for sure, but I would expect the choice pack and ship to be account bound while in your inventory and only become character bound once you commission the ship.

It's a moot point for many months. When the time comes and the CLAIM button lights up, let someone else go first then read the forum posts.

That isn't what the OP was asking.

But it pretty much infer a YES answer to the OPs question - IE the prize box is account bound until opened. Once opened on a given character said ship (like the majority of lockbox/promo ships) is bound to that character, can't be claimed again by any other character on the account; and if deleted, cannot be claimed again by the character who originally opened the prize box.
