For a long time I always wanted "Valkis Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Warbird" on my pure federation character. Unfortunately it is a Romulan only warbird, but we now have the ability to fly all ships in the game.
These particular ships are anm odd duck, because they are sitting behind 2 separate boxes. 1st [Special Requisition Choice Pack - Tier 6 Promotional Ship Choice Pack] Then [Special Requisition Pack - 26th Century Heavy Dreadnought Tier 6 Ship]
Before when you opened up a "[Special Requisition Pack - 26th Century Heavy Dreadnought Tier 6 Ship]" box
https://sto.gamepedia.com/26th_Century_Heavy_Dreadnought it auto assigned you one of the 3 faction related heavy dreads that was related to your faction (you did not get to pick, it just gave you your faction and that was it, I know because I have a the universe enterprise one for a while back).
This is where the problem arises.
Recently, now that we have this new "Cross Faction Flying unlock", a new comment has been made on the wiki for these ships (including Valkis) ... found here
https://sto.gamepedia.com/Valkis_Temporal_Heavy_Dreadnought_Warbird "The faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store."
This new comment gives me hope I can finally now play Valkis on my Federation main character.
Does this mean when I click on the box now I can choice any one of the 3 ships now instead of previously being automatically assigned the one that matches my faction? Considering the high trade value of this ship box (1.5b) I do not want to just randomly experiment with this
without 100% knowing I get to choice, especially since I already own a Universe enterprise. It would just be so much wasted credits.
I do not know if anyone has personal experience on this yet. I just figured I would ask here on the off chance someone knows more than I.
Is there any location I can ask the devs specifically about this? I don't think this is "ticket" worthy (or is it?)
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

To be safe though, once you get the box, I would absolutely open it on Tribble first just to make sure that the selection mechanic is working. It's always a good idea to test this stuff on Tribble first.. but yes.. you should be able to fly the Valkis on a pure Fed.
