As far as I know, all the other races (maybe not Klingon? I'd have to look) have at least one ship that would qualify as being oversized for the norm. Romulans have the Valkis, Dominion the Vanguard Carrier (though this isn't
that big), Terrans the Styx, Voth the Rampart Carrier, Iconians the Quas, etc. The Federation doesn't really have an equivalent unless you count the Universe-class... which, I don't, since its design is absurd, and it arguably does not fit in with the aesthetic of the rest of the Federation fleet (note: I'm not dumping on you if the J is your favorite ship of all time, etc. But you cannot argue that a substantial portion of the fanbase regards the vessel as a massive eyesore. I'm not alone in thinking the thing is just a visual abortion [which isn't unfair, considering that the design was basically tossed together at the last second during the filming of Enterprise]).
What I'd like to see is something about twice(ish) the size of the Jupiter, and substantially bigger (maybe 1/3rd or so) than the Vengeance. The mod for Sins of a Solar Empire, Star Trek Armada III, takes a very tasteful approach to vessels of this size in their
Excalibur and Polaris titans (for the uninitiated, the later versions of Sins of a Solar Empire introduced the concept of the titan - a "super," hero ship that formed the backbone of any fully-maturated fleet late-game). This gives some idea as to the scale of the Excalibur:

And yes, I know that Starfleet has traditionally been portrayed as loathe to 'go big,' but STO is really set in a new era, and I don't think it's unreasonable that the Federation would at least dabble with one or two very large designs. Cryptic could do an oversized fed ship that was tasteful yet awe-inspiring without it turning into a meme, and I'd frankly like to see them try.
