Cryptic listens to feedback

doctorstegidoctorstegi Member Posts: 1,181 Arc User
Ok I don't know to whom they listen but surely its nobody I know playing this game. The changes from yesterday to the Ambassador ??? Why???
I thought the ship was ok as it was however the B'rel is lackluster and alot of people throughout multiple platforms said that but they are listening to our feedback? So far the changes they have made other with the turnrate on the Vor'cha I can't find myself but wondering who asked for these other changes who are these people Cryptic is listening to their feedback?

If they should have changed a fed ship then it should have been the Excelsior because its almost a 1 to 1 copy of the Legendary Sovereign why would I want 2 times the same ship just with different looks...

Oh well I think it makes it even easier to pass on that dumb bundle.

    I think they stopped listening to player feedback when we all voted for the Jupiter and then turned around and despised it.

    I think @jennycolvin managed to describe the action we witness best in another thread going mysteriously under:
    Changes were not made because of constructive criticism. Changes were made because of the uproar in ALL the platforms - something that, as has been pointed out in this very thread, seems to be regarded as the minority when it comes to stuff like the Nova T6 and more KDF ships, but now that there's TONS of money on the line, suddenly they're not.

    They realized something is off, they also understand that an imminent sale is at risk. Now they kinda feel they need to act but do not know how. They would if they do what you suggest in your threads title OP. Such things just take some time and have to be kept up continuously.

    I got word from the some of the league admins that kael is asking for build advice on twitter. Lol, learn to play the game whose community he moderates and all. Sweet. :D

    It’s a good start for sure but for this pack its ways too late. The whole thing remains how it started: BAD!

    We voted on the Jupiter's appearance.. not on it's stats. It's functionality is why it's unpopular and I am pretty sure Cryptic knows that.

    As far as the bundle, they're trying to sweeten the deal, but I have to agree that they are addressing the wrong concerns. We will see how the bundle sells, but if it sells well despite all the backlash then I wouldn't expect to see future concessions on things the community finds unpopular.

    Even if it 'sells well' that doesn't capture the vaunted 'metrics' about how many sales there'd be for a 'just ships' bundle for the many players who do not want and will not buy all the filler nonsense. And you can't claim to be 'following the metrics' if you've never captured them in the first place. Twice as many sales at half the price is just as good (with digital goods).

    Hey, I don't disagree.. I am just saying how they will react if the bundle sells well. I am firmly in the camp of wanting a lower priced bundle without all the 'bloat.' :smile:

    Whether it sells well or not is something we'll never really know, good chance that the more padding a bundle has the lower the bar for "success" will be set.

    Does the Ambassador really have a cloak now? Doesn't really fit that ship if I'm being honest.

    It does yes, and I agree.. it doesn't fit.

    The best explanation I can think of is the fact that it's a full Intel ship now. All 'Full Intel' ships can cloak with the one exception being the Legendary Kelvin Timeline Constitution class. Even the Federation ships that are full intel (Phantom, Eclipse, Scryer, Vengeance, etc) can all cloak. The Section 31 ships have "Dark Mode" which is functionally identical to a standard cloak just with a different visual.

    Given the history of the Enterprise C, the spec that makes the most sense for the Ambassador is Temporal. For whatever reason, they have made Temporal it's secondary specialization and Intel it's primary. I agree, it doesn't really fit with the theme of the Enterprise C or with the Ambassador Class as a whole. Intel ships are typically more classified or covert oriented ships and the Ambassador definitely doesn't meet that criteria.

    People were complaining that it was too similar to the Narendra, which is already a full Temporal ship itself, so that's surely the reason it was changed for this one. I personally prefer Intel due to OSS, but not enough to pay $200 for 4 ships plus a bunch on unwanted junk.

    As for the cloak that's definitely due to the Intel gimmick, and I can't help but wonder why the JJPrise doesn't have access to one. Oversight maybe?

    Cloak is broke as it is at least the battle cloak is because after using it a few times you can't get out of cloak anymore. God knows when or if they are going to fix that.

    I don't think that's why it's been called the flying toilet bowl since day 1. As far as stats go it was perfectly fine at the time, still is for that matter, however it's been ditched now that we have cruiser's that somehow field 2 hangar bays and the Jupiter hasn't been touched since.

    thus the joy of what some like, and some dont. i for one think the jupiter is barf city. however, others have mentioned they like it. i am glad we have alternate carriers to enjoy because of this.

    I love the Juptier and it's VoQuv counterpoint, but the problem is, apart from Frigate Pets, the Jupiter is completely out-done and under-powered to every other carrier. If they had made it a 4/3 or given it a Sec. Deflector (which would more suit the Juptier's remit) it would be on-par with the other vanilla carriers. I'm not even going to go into it being humilated against the Donnie......OOPS!

    I maintain what I said in another thread: they listened because money is on the line, but once that ship will have sailed, they're gonna go back to how it was.

    It happened before and I don't think we saw any meaningful changes in their mindset in the mean time, so I can't really imagine why they would suddenly start listening to us now.

    Not agreeing with someone doesn't give you the right to be an TRIBBLE.

    Ci sono tre tipi di giocatori:
    - quelli a cui non va mai bene niente... e vanno sul forum a trollare;
    - quelli che sono talmente imbesuiti da credere a qualunque cosa i dev dicano, perfino che la luna è fatta di formaggio... e vanno sul forum a trollare;
    - quelli che credono a quello a cui è giusto credere, sono d'accordo con quello con cui è giusto essere d'accordo e sono critici con quello che non va;

    Ai giocatori dei primi due tipi, gratis in omaggio un bello specchio lucente su cui arrampicarsi. E una mazzata in testa per la loro poca intelligenza e compassione verso gli altri giocatori che non la pensano come loro.
    Agli appartenenti al terzo tipo, invece, dico grazie. Anche se non sempre si riesce a mantenere la calma, siete quelli per cui vale la pena incazzarsi.

    Do you have https://sto.gamepedia.com/Fleet_Yamaguchi_Support_Cruiser the legendary basically only really had a extra specialization seat at lt.com and few stat adjustments other wise they were more similar then the legendary excelsior is to the legendary sovereign.

    Though I do wish the legendary excelsior was the first full pilot cruiser, miracle worker works because Scottie helped design a lot of it. I also agree B'rel needs more updates, the one I think would help the most is simply switching the 4 engineer consoles with 4 science consoles. If they aren't willing to make 5/1 ,
