I asked awhile ago on a stream, if there were plans to bring other Klingons into the story. Kael said mostly keep it at Gowron/Akaar, Martok, J'ula, and Adep'ha.
Well I know with Covid and all and also wanting to not let the story get unwieldly, I understand that.
But its Worf and Kurn.
We've been to Boreth, to the Underworld, we've meet Kortar and Kahless. Its a Klingon civil war. The breaking of an empire.
We need something with the Sons of Mogh. Even if its just a story blog and a cameo with recycled voice lines.
Klingons fighting Klingons, alliances being formed and broken, song, story's, companions and drink! What more could a warrior need?!
"You and I will fight battles that others can only dream of. The time for glory is here.... It is a time to celebrate, for tomorrow, we all may die! Come! Let us, the sons of Mogh, live this night as if it were our last!"
IIRC Micheal Dorn isn't in speaking terms with the STO devs so what the devs can do with Worf is very limited and people might complain if the devs brought back Kurn but not Worf.
Theres long been rumors that Dorn doesn't like STO for killing Alexander... despite that being an obvious plot point from the TNG episode "Firstborn"
He said "You did him cold" I believe.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
It's not like they can't resurrect Alexander with a Klingon lava clone or anything.
that or use time travel to prevent Alexander's death by knocking out and kidnapping him & killing Torg while disguised as K'mtar, creating another timeline, we already created 2 timelines in both Butterfly and Midnight.
Some temporal points are unavoidable without catastrophe, of course. The death of Alexandr might be one of them.
Daniels, please report to 2411 for a briefing.
Yeah, even I thought the death of Alexandr was a bit abrupt and pointlessly tragic. I can almost see where Mr. Dorn is coming from. And I'm sure that's part of why we've had Kurn several times with Worf's lines being copypasta-d.
But maybe, and I'm sure I'm in the minority out there, but maybe there are more Klingons out there than just the sons of Mogh. I kinda wish we had more of Adet'pa before the current arc. And it's also why I was practically SQUEALING with delight at *spoiler redacted* showing up in Leap of Faith.
Call me "El," she/her only. I love my wife and I don't care who knows it!

I can live with Kurn, w/out worf

Yeah from what I gathered the issue wasn't so much killing Alexander as how they did it.
