more "beams but not beams"?

I'm trying to find out if there are more weapons like the 'linked' phasers and disruptors. I'm currently using targeting linked dual beam banks on my ferasan escort and i really love the feel of it over the old cannon setups i used to use.

These weapons, despite being "beams", do not emit a continuous stream of energy when fired but almost look like cannons when firing, with rapid salvos of elongated projectiles. Appearance wise i love how they look far more than traditional beams. The targeting linked disruptors are yellow, which fit my ferasan slithus very well, but im looking for other color options to use on different characters. I know theres green, but are there any blue, purple, red, e.t.c options that have a similar firing effect?

Vaadwaur Polaron(Blue-ish White Bolts) and Kelvin Timeline Phasers(Red 'bullets') come to mind.

The 'linked' weapons come in 4 colors: Red(Focusing-/Targeting-/Resilience- Phaser), Blue(Emitter-/Sensor-/Integrity- Phaser), Yellow(Focusing-/Targeting-/Resilience- Disruptor), and Green(Emitter-/Sensor-/Integrity- Disruptor).

The Resonant Disruptor Beam Array from the Blood of the Ancients mission also has a bit of an unusual, 'railgun-like' appearance, but it's a unique-equip item that's part of a set.

I actually use a mix of Linked and Normal Disruptors on my Durgath to give it the illusion of being armed with cannons and beams.

I love the Kelvin Timeline Phaser's personally. They look a lot like cannon fire and match the look of the Kelvin Movies (though they sadly don't have the sound.)

They aren't any better then regular phasers and are slightly weaker then something like Targeting-Linked but I don't care.. they look cool.

I'm not a huge fan of the Star Wars blasters, but I do like the way they can look mixed with standard beams. This works especially well on the Gal X with its saucer cannons and one of the D'deridex variants that has a similar pair of canons on top.

Probably the worst mistake I've made playing around with these myself is mixing some red and blue ones. "You were caught going warp 8 in a warp 3 zone. Starship license and registration please."

Thanks guys, I'll look into some of these. Where are the vaadwuar polarons from?

On the downside, i haven't found any omni arrays that match these weapons. Bit disappointing that i can't get my rear mounted weapons to match the forward aesthetics

There are linked omnis, but they are really really expensive on the exchange.

I imagine they're at a rather high premium on the exchange by this point, considering how old they are - they were the first beams to have a projectile vfx(although I think the Voth were the first to actually get unique vfx/sounds beyond just being a recolor).

Technically you might be able to consider the Pulse Phasers as well. While still somewhat beamlike, its more pulsing beam than solid beam.

But as said above, Vaadwaur Polaron comes from the lockbox, so best source will probably be the Exchange.

I kinda wanna say you're right about the Voth AP being the first with unique effects. We had quite a few lockbox weapons that were recolors.
