Can Anyone Clear Up Some Timeline Confusion, Please?

So with Temporal Ambassador being fixed on the PlayStation version of the game, I finally played through Yesterday's War. I'm confused, though. Were the missions within Yesterday's War part of other episodes in the (real world) past?

I ask, because Future Proof is after Yesterday's War in the Episodes List. But during Yesterday's War, Daniels refers to when we hid the Tox Uthat on Risa during Future Proof. Also, when we encounter Sela in Yesterday's War, she's in the form of Sela before the Iconian War... but Yesterday's War is after Iconian War. Daniels's face isn't scarred as well during the Sela mission, but it was fully messed up with missing hair in the mission before it.

Yes. Originally Temporal Ambassador took place much earlier in the game, like near the end of the Federation's Klingon War arc. The "Yesterday's War" arc were missions that occasionally sprung up between the other arcs as you leveled up.

The Survivor mission with Sela shows her post Iconian War, so I'm not sure what you mean there. That mission came out originally during the Tzenkethi storyline stuff, so after the Future Proof arc, and after Daniels get his face fixed. But they moved it back into the Yesterday's War arc to serve as a book end to the time travel stuff which began and ends with Tasha Yar and Sela.

Daniels' face can be handwaved away in that hes a time traveler, so we are seeing him from the past/future of the Daniels who we were interacting with earlier whose face is messed up.

I thought during the Iconian War, Sela broke out of prison, and she was no longer wanted by authorities at the end of the war when she's hanging out at Starfleet Academy with us, and we bid her farewell. But in Survivor, she's wanted and arrested again. That's what got me confused about that part.

But what you explained about the other missions originally springing up at other times/episodes confirms the suspicions I had while playing through it. I didn't know it was THAT spread out. The missions and story were enjoyable. I'm glad to finally have been able to play through them. I wish they kept them sprinkled in the other arcs to experience them properly within "game time," though. Would have been a nicer experience.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and explain. ^_^

There's also the fact the any mission with "Temporal" in the name can easily cause enough chronological confusion to cause a nasty migraine if you think about it too hard, thanks to us seeing people from different part of timelines as Som explained.

As for Sela she wasn't pardoned after the Iconian War, no-one just didn't thought of taking her back into prison before she was able to escape from Earth due everyone having their minds focused on the fact that the Iconian War was finally over and they were still alive and free.
