So, I'm replaying the lower level klingon arc now, as I'm doing the klingon recruit content. I'm on the mission now where we return the body of M'ven to Sirella... which had me scratching my head.
The body is just a SHELL, to klingons. It has no meaning or value after death.
Worf did mention that Klingons have a ritual of guarding bodies from predators while the soul is on it's way to stovokor so could be in keeping with that

IIRC, M'ven wanted that ceremonial send-off that Worf gave him in the CS.
Yeah, I believe the quest points out that he was a "real traditionalist," and thus the ceremony was in keeping with Klingon rites that have otherwise fallen by the wayside.

Sirella is sentimental.
