For those unaware there is to be maintenance 12/18
Star Trek Online will have unscheduled maintenance time tomorrow, 12/18, on PC to fix an issue that's been causing crashing for some Captains. Maintenance will begin at 7am PT and is estimated to last 2.5 hours.
Update: The patch will also fix the issue blocking progress with the mission The Kobali Front.
The devs need to devote a season for cleaning up all these bugs, A game as old and seasoned as this one deserves better treatment than all off this constant jury-rigging. So illogical after this blasted long.

The problem is that it is impossible to have a bug free MMO. Next time they add something, a new bug will crop up.

I agree. And considering the likelihood of future patch bugs occurring, Cryptic should take steps to prepare for that by employing better, smarter damage control [policy] protocols. There are a number of relatively simple measures that can, and I believe should be considered to help the community, and the game when major bugs inevitably occur. I plan to post a thread to suggest some of those damage control measures in the near future. Number 1 on that list will be communication with the community.

Not to disuade you, but you'll only recycle things that have been suggested many times over. There literally is no original suggestion left that hasn't been proposed in the near 11 year period this game has been running. Cryptic knows what we want, but somethings they will refuse to do because of past actions of some commentators, and some of the reasons why are wholly understandable.
And some advice, for when you do post whatever you do, do not make it a 'demand' thread. It will just be closed.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

So? We all know it is impossible to have a bug free MMO, and we are painfully aware that every new update will bring new bugs. This is a matter of sustainability though. If they took some time to properly clean up a substantial number of the existing bugs, then the next time they introduce new buggy content it wouldn't seem so bad. As it is, it seems when they fix a bug, the next update introduces two bugs, netting us +1 bug. We are in a spiral of an ever increasing number of bugs.

Wonder where you saw this and why the rest of us didn't, lol... j/k... I know exactly why...

Just a pretty unknown site called Twitter. LOL
I'm glad to see this too so I can finish Kobali ground on the toon I started it on recently.
Twitter is the official forum. Why they still call this the official forum is anyones guess, but clearly, it's not.
It's the absolute last place to receive any information or updates because that's how our 'Community Manager' wants it.
