I'm not sure if it is comical or sad at this point or both. I do hope Cryptic gets a handle on this, but I'm still trying to keep it within the context that in the long-run hopefully this will lead to a better quality of life improvement for STO so I've just been respecing 1 toon & leaving the rest alone pretty much.
As mentioned above, this update has been delayed until tomorrow, 12/16. There will be no need to respec, and that issue should be fixed for the future.

I'm willing to accept the possibility of this being true. However, I'm not willing to believe that it is a certainty. The 'not needing to respec' and 'fixed for the future' parts, I mean. Which is to say, I'll believe it when I see it.
Totally fair.
I am just happy it was communicated this time. I am actually forgiving of bugs and mistakes, I just want to hear from them when things like this happen. It is nice to see them actually communicating.
Now, if we could just get them to stop limiting that to Twitter and Facebook, that's the next big hurdle.
This last time, I retrained only one captain, just to see. That one needed no retrain, and neither did any of the others. All other traits and skills in the right place, can still spend skill and spec points.
Nicely done, Dev Team, and good call on delaying the patch to get it right.
Call me "El," she/her only. I love my wife and I don't care who knows it!

You can send him my condolences..
but that won't stop me from laughing.

Really, because for some people, GitHub is hard.
I'll wait for the next patch to retrain, just in case
