No Multi--Core rendering anymore (toggle doesnt work or save yet does it notify reboot)

in Windows and General: PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues
as the title says. multi-core rendering suddenly isnt toggleable anymore. doesnt save, manual gameprefs wont save it. game is unplayable now on older dual cores with rather few ghz on each core. PLS FIX.
