PC Patch Notes for 10/6/2020

Greetings Captains!
We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 6/20 at 7AM Pacific for 3.5 hours on all platforms. (What time is this for me?)

    Captains can now access a “Salvage” tab listing all salvageable items that can be discarded at once, instead of salvaging per item within the Inventory window.

    Please, tell me my character clears their name in the first seconds of this episode and that the whole "you're considered terrorist fugitive" thing won't drag on any longer due to how ridiculous it is since in-universe, J'mpok hasn't been in position for any credibility for a while.

    This Featured Event will be a standalone event, separate from the Event Campaign. This new event will provide participating Captains with an epic reward: The Imperial Rift Space Set. Although this is a longer event, 20 days or more, I'm looking forward to the Imperial Rift Space Set reward.

    Brand New Episode: Partisans & New Task Force Operation: Synth Wave I hope they're both entertaining.

    Episodes in the Warzone story arc in the mission journal for the Klingon Defense Force have been revamped to bring the quality more up to par with recent content. Not sure if I've redone every episode so far but the ones I have redone were revamped well.

    Targ’s have been completely redesigned to bring the quality more up to par with recent content. I wonder if this includes the player's pet Targ?

    T6 Experimental Upgrade Feature I'm looking forward to this new game feature not for all ships but for my primary ships.

    Captains can now access a “Salvage” tab listing all salvageable items that can be discarded at once, instead of salvaging per item within the Inventory window. This is really nice for when needing/wanting to mass Salvage.

    Tzenkethi innate resistances that scale up with loss of shields, now scale less aggressively. That sounds like a "nerfing"?

    Imperial Space Rift Set
    So, we spend several months tidying up Rifts after J'Ula, with Stamets going on about how bad they are for the Elachi and the JahSepp, yet now we are also going to be ruining their living environment by using our own Rift-Weapons?
    I do wonder at STO/Cryptic logic sometimes...
    Still, it's a nice looking set and relatively easy to collect via an Event instead of being attached to a Featured Episode.
    I look forward to the new episode & TFO - I hope they're done well!

    Speak for yourself I'm still hoping for a Revenge of the Sith style "In the name of the Klingon Empire and the Khitomer Accords, you are under arrest chancellor." type scene.

    Since this the Klingon chancellor we're talking about it would be more like "J'mpok in the Name of the Empire I declare you to have no honor! Stand down and face the punishment for your crimes or fight if have courage for it!".

    Considering the rift from the are only temporary, I think it's most likely modified to not damage the mycelial network. That being said the Elachi that come out of the rift are probably part of Captain Tarsev's allied force, and not corrupted.

    Both this thread and the launcher was incorrect ..... this via twitter

    Star Trek Online will have maintenance on all platforms tomorrow, 10/6, at 6am PT. Estimated downtime is 3.5 hours for PC and 3 hours for Console. You can find the PC patch notes below, there are no patch notes for Console.

    Known Issues:
    • There is a known issue that is preventing the T6 Experimental Upgrade from being applied to the Mirror Engle Strike Wing Escort [T6].

    Thank you for upgrading the graphics requirement for the game and not telling us... which is going to impact so many people with older machines and lower end graphics cards in that they CAN'T TRIBBLE PLAY the game.

    Updated - and now Red Alert has been removed. According to the announcement though:
    From 9/29 @ 8am PT (17:00 CEST) – 10/6 @ 10am PT (19:00 CEST), all of our Red Alert events will be returning at once on PC

    Even now it's still 14 minutes till the announced end. Thanks for denying the Ultimate Tech Upgrade...
