T6 Event Coupon or Lobi?

Big Kelvinverse fan. Will the upcoming T6 Event Coupon give me access to either the Heavy Command Cruiser or the Heavy Destroyer? Or am I better off going for the Dreadnought with Lobi?

you can't get any kelvin timeline ship with the coupon, so the lobi to buy the dread is the only way for you to get one.

In the end, the Lobi is the better option in my opinion. There are lots of things that are worth picking up out of the Lobi Store, at least in my opinion. Outfits, ships, and other sets and gear that can add to your enjoyment of a character you have created or be sold on the Exchange for some decent amounts of EC to get you something else that isn't in the Lobi Store, like a lock box ship.

This has been asked many times, and it depends on your situation.. but most of the time the Lobi is the pretty obvious better choice. Lobi is simply more valuable and harder to get overall. This is about the 4th or 5th time they have given away a free C-Store ship of your choice, but the only time they have offered the Lobi.

Also, when making your decision.. remember that a ship like the Vengeance is one of the most common and therefore cheapest choices of Lobi Ships to buy off the exchange. If you can pull together the EC to buy it off the exchange, then you can use the Lobi on items that you can't get any other way. The Lobi Store has items such as ship consoles and ground weapons that are some of the best in the game and cannot be purchased on the exchange.. Lobi is the only way to get them.

If you're looking for the most cost efficient thing to do, take the Lobi, buy the Vengeance with EC and then use the Lobi on items that can't be bought with EC. If however you're a new player and you don't have any ships or good traits then it's possible that something from the C-Store might be a better option for you.

You're going to have to ultimately decide for yourself.. personally, I went Lobi.

The T6 coupon can only be used on C-Store ships that are no longer in the "new" tab and are not in Mudd's Market.

I do not think there are any Kelvin ships that fall in that category, but I may be wrong.

I took the T6 coupon. Even though I already own every CStore ship. Lobi items are single character unlocks and basically useless to me, as I am an altaholic.

However OP, if you're someone who only plays a small handful of characters, perhaps say 1 from each "faction", then I can see the Lobi ships being worth it. The best option is going to vary from person to person. Getting a free CStore ship that can potentially be used on every character has its upsides. But at the end of the day, go with what makes you happy as that is all that really matters.

i used the t6 coupon on one of the pilot escorts. I didn't care for the ship, just the trait

I went for the Lobi on one account (I have two) to get an Iktomi for a character who has a sort of spider theme, the other one has one day left to go so I am waiting for the next event in the chain to finish it but it would probably sit for a while in the box if I did have enough days to get it already since I do not have any obvious use for it on that account and so it would wait for the right inspiration.
