Yes, you need a Starship Upgrade Requisition, which you can get from the Zen store; I seem to remember they cost about 700? Then you take that token with you and go to the ship management officer at any shipyard location.

Once you apply it, it will permanently unlock the T5U upgrade on that ship class, for all characters on your account. (They would still have to get the ship, and then go to upgrade it, but the upgrade will be free.)

Thanks, I look in the Zen stor ingame and could not find Starship Upgrade Requisition. I could be blind and don't see it.

To correct my self its the Defiant Tactical Escort Retrofit (T5) is what i'm trying to upgrade to a T5U.
I'm also think of getting the Multi-Vector Advanced Escort (T5) or the Hestia Class Advanced Escort (T6). Is it worth the trouble to get the T5 and upgrade it or just skip it and get the T6. Also I can't find where the T6 splits into 3 like the T5. Can someone confirm that?

I ask becouse I was getting my butt kicked in the Delta Quadrant Missions espely the ones with the Vaadwaur.
    Thanks

    Two things:

Unless there's a specific console you're really after, it's generally better to just get the T6 version of a ship. T6 ships come with mastery traits, scale with your level, and have access to specialization seats.

Vaadwaur tend to be a hurdle for most players the first time they're encountered; they require a different approach to deal with effectively. Specifically, you need to stay mobile to avoid their artillery-like attacks while in turn trying to pin them down to reduce their high defense/avoidance.

Thanks go for T6 got you, also if I had back up I found taking out the Arty first made killing them more maintainable.

Vaadwaur and the Tzenkethi (also to lesser extent the Nakhul) demand that you adapt your tactics to them, with Vaadwaur it's staying out of their bombard attacks, with the Tzenkethi it's not clumping them up and knowing which order to kill them. With the Nakhul it's knowing that their "invulnerability" can be ended early by killing the red "echo" they spawn though that can also be simply timed out by waiting so it's not as critical to adapt your tactics there.
