I thought it was to start today?

    It says from April 24rd at 8am PT, to May 15th at 10am PT. Starts Friday.

    Actually no, it said 8am on 4/23 not 4/24.

    This event still has yet to appear. Even the Winter stuff has yet to appear. If they were going to kick it back a weekend, an announcement would have been appreciated.

    The Winter Event was still a couple hours away, so that has started now. As for the other...don't know. I also don't see a tweet for it and I thought they usually did send out one of those for weekend events. Maybe it was moved and the announcement post was on auto-pilot?

    Probably since the First Contact Day Event was extended a Week, the Elachi Red Alert was moved to next Weekend. The Original News Announcement Blog has been pulled.

    The Winter Event and Double XP are on. The Elachi is not as it will move to next Weekend.

    Probably to ensure the full time allotted and prevent the inevitable whining that it got cut off early because of Maintenance if they started/ended them on a Thursday. With the occasional, I needed one more run to... and that was taken away by the Maintenance shutdown.
