Is the borg juggernaut not living up to the hype? I've seen a couple in sector space but none in tfo? Thought I would be seeing more of them

It's more of a gimmick then anything. I wouldn't be surprised if the new car scent wore off. Specially with the way it's assimilation works.

I don't really see it captained much either nowadays, except by people in head cannon or space barbie or simply don't have a better ship. Though the trait is good for survivability i just don't see it cracking many if any top fives of players.

Much how it wore off of the Section 31 Battle cruiser. Though the Battle cruiser is actually a really good ship, extremely nimble and mobile for it's size and it's a good tactical platform that is ruined by the command system. It really does move and act like a destroyer, including the obvious experimental weapon that happens to be the drones. Just ruined by the turn the tide. The trait is only suitable for this particular ship, the console is meh but you end up killing your hijacked ships since you can still target it with befaw.

Personally I wish they would stop ruining ships with the command "Turn the Tide" system. It's terrible, and even more so when compared to MW, Intel, pilot, or temporal. They just insist on putting this interface on ships as if it makes it better.

It takes forever to build up just for 15 seconds of effect that isn't good. It's useless in short skirmishes and hindrance in long drawn out battles if such a thing still exist.

They need to focus more on MW first and foremost, Since it has the most utility both offensive and defensive an players want to move the meta in that direction, then temporal or intelligence. They seem to be about neck and neck to me though the edge would be temporal. And Pilot bringing up the rear not because it is bad but because i have no interest in escorts or warships at the moment.
Even god rested. No work ethic.

I'm going to see if I can get one once it's in the infinity lockbox & I've got more EC. Seems like a half decent ship & I can probably build it into something useful. I'd rather it had a different mechanic but I usually forget those are there so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I managed to clip one of them and took a trip to the top of map with my Durgath while entering a map today. Haven't seen that one happen in a while.

As for why it's not popular.. there's probably a myriad of reasons ranging from the unremarkable/"safe" layout to the poor handling to the giant hitbox to just the asymmetric appearance itself.

Personally speaking, I just don't find anything particularly interesting about the ship. Even if I wanted to fly a borg ship, I wouldn't really want to run one as a 'tanky dps'. I'd be far more interested in doing space-magicy stuff.. like a gimmick-heavy drain build(seriously, why wasn't there a Shield Neutralization Missile as a part of the lockbox? That's probably the most iconic borg ability in the game.) or a control build with a lot of exotic damage bombardment.

probably because the shield neutralizer will either end up being the console of a possible future borg cube or the console/experimental weapon of a sphere - considering they're the two ships who love spamming the damn thing
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

The Juggernaut is pretty good. It has similar benefits to the Vaadwaur juggernaut, so I find myself having an abundance of firepower. The only problem is I rarely benefit from the command spec of the ship.

I like it well enough. I made a Liberated Borg character to go with and all of the Borg stuff that dropped from the lockbox. I am not using the Juggernaut because I am in the process of unlocking Ship Traits and that takes time. I will go back to it because it will be that character's signature vessel.

Very few box or promo ships are so wonderful that they'll become your new main ship. The MW Disco Constitution was/is one of the few exceptions for a lot of people, but the Borg Juggernaut is more toy than beast. It's fun to launch the giant plasma ball, though it really falls short of the sort that gets hurled at you in borg TFOs.

It is, however, a profoundly ugly ship... so if you're someone who is entertained by flying a really ugly eyesore of a ship then it may be right for you. I highly recommend pairing it (or any ship, really) with the Slime Devils vanity shield. They were made for each other.
