Discovery Transwarp Animation

As per the title, the discovery ships transwarp animation (spore drive animation) changes its rotational axis based on the camera distance.
My guess is, that the animation uses the position of the camera a its anchor point and the ship rotates relative to that point. Thus when zooming out and transwarping the animation changes (as it doesn't always zoom in far enough when the transwarp is triggered).
Though i don't know what the animation looks like from someone elses perspective.
