Legendary Miracle Worker Multi Mission Science Vessel

griceneilgriceneil Member Posts: 26 Arc User
Since the new Legendary Miracle Worker Multi Mission Science Vessel is classed a Multi Mission Ship, I was expecting it to be able to equip consoles from the Vesta's?
Do you think this be the case? Just interested in peoples thought's.

They should have called it blockade runner scout. Intrepid were called that in some games way back, they were designed to be small and fast so that they could scout for fleets and run through planetary blockades.

As far as being able to mount consoles from vesta, no i dont see why they should even if they share a class title doesnt make them same ships with same tech. It gets nothing from the vesta so why would it get the consoles.

Not really. If it was, they would have listed it in it's specs. The Intrepid is a different line of ship compared to the MMSV which intentionally was built with a larger shuttle bay IIRC.

Remember, there was also one of those 31st Century Ships called the Temporal Multi-Mission Science Vessel. It's Console couldn't be be equipped on any of the Vestas and vice versa.

No. The definition of a multi-mission Science Ship seems to be 'has a flight bay', rather than 'can equip Vesta stuff.

Vesta, smesta! :) No, seriously, it does have Multi-Mission Science Vessel in the name, and one skin even kinda looks like a Vesta, but who cares about some old dilapidated Vesta consoles!? Warship Voyager needs to have 6x EPG consoles slotted, or you're doing it wrong. ;) No room for old fluff.

Why, by that definition, half the ships in STO would qualify as a Multi-Mission Science Vessel. :p

One question, regardless if it would be a good idea to use DHC on a science ship, can the Aux-DHC be equipped by the Voyager MMSV
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

No, sadly. The tooltip on the Aux DHCs (the consoles too) says "Any Multi-Mission Explorer".

Note the word Explorer. This term is only used for the Vesta variants, and other Multi-Mission ships don't count.

    That is a shame.

Have to test and see if the pathfinder can equip DHC as i have seen mentioned in a legendary pack overview video.
Wiki doesn't mention it, but the wiki may simply not be updated.

The Pathfinder can not use DHC. Only the Legendary Intrepid can, well dual cannon anyway as it comes equipped with them, as it's classified as a Multi-Mission Science Vessel. But as reyan01 pointed out, this would be rather self defeating.

They need to fix the name or let these ships equip the consoles/aux cannons. This confusion is not going away otherwise.

Again, such a shame. I'd be interesting to make a Nova build or Intrepid build with DC/DHC

Yes, as an example, my father's name is John, and my older brother is also John... same name, not same person... So, yea, Multimissios Science Ships are not hte same... even with similar names, one is explorer, the others do not..
