"Transwarp to Alpha Quadrant" Breaks Auto-Navigation

Using a "Transwarp To" destination in the Alpha Quadrant (Bajor, Defere, etc.) breaks auto-navigation.
If you open the map and double-click to move to any system, e.g. Vlugta Asteroid Field, Badlands, etc, the ship powers engines and starts moving, but only goes forward in whatever direction it was facing when it transwarped in, making absolutely no course correction to port or starboard.
This 'breaking of auto-navigation' doesn't happen if you arrive into the Alpha Quadrant via the Beta Quadrant border or the Bajoran Wormhole.
It doesn't appear to be ship-specific either, or race-specific.
