Cant log in

I start ARC, then start STO but I can't seem to make it past launcher. Always get a timed out. Everything was fine yesterday and If I read the notification right the 11am PST time has well passed for me so what is going on? As a lifer....Life time sub, I expect to be able to play the game....not be stuck at the launcher wondering what the hell is going on.
