Boom running /netgraph1 my ping spiked to 3024 in trying to log onto a new character and disconnected from server and had to close game completely as to many login attempts. Ping today had maxed at 188
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
Ok running /netgraph1 it seems my ping and sent data is pretty consistant no real issues. Where Ping spikes is during map transfers and loads where it can go from the 123-204 range up to 3024. When about to rubberband or experiencing a game freeze again Ping and Sent which is consistant at 36 are fine however Received can spike from the mid 400's to 400000's.

Last night, I had a horrible time playing Star Trek Online from 10 PM- 12 AM EST with three disconnects and a lot of lag. I played through the Arena of Sompek and got the daily progress on my character. I then played through the Arena of Sompek on my Delta Recruit. I was through 6 of the rounds and getting to the final round when I had an SNR (server not responding). By the time I got back in I was not able to get the marks as the reward even though I made enough progress in the TFO and did not get an AFK. I then played The Vault on my Temporal Recruit, had lag, and one disconnect during the mission. The third disconnect happened when I was putting the items on my shuttle back on my main ship manually. After that, I quit for the night and did not finish what I was doing on that character.
This is probably non-sequitur , but could all this lag and rubber banding have something to do with Amazon super-sale June 22nd? Amazon is a fairly massive company. I have sort of notice during the Christmas rush how card transactions on the cash registers tend to slow down.

This has been an going issue for a couple of years so no nothing to do with Amazon. It is poor optimization of game code and Cryptic's ISP's security partner Akami Technologies

Did anyone else have unplayable lag for part of Sunday 28th? It wasn’t like the normal every day lag around x10 stronger. What was odd was tracert was really good even the akamai nodes where all coming in at reasonable speeds. I ran multiple tracert and no problems on any of them all well under 120ping . Netgraph 1 though was changing between 500 and 1500 ping way worse than the every day Akamai lag I normally get. Its hard to be sure but I don't think this was the normal akamai lag.
I have never seen Netgraph 1 have major lag and multiple tracerts come back good before. Normally when I get lag both show high pings.
Usually I have only experienced lag or slight rubber banding during endeavors. However since the extended maintenance last week I am experiencing more lag and rubber banding during normal game play. For me, whatever was done during extended maintenance has made things worse.
The stickiness was also lost on the Mudd's Market Thread and Rattler's Winter Wonderland Tips and Tricks (it should have). These did not lose stickiness accidentally. Magnets demagnetized.

The Dyson Lagosphere was bad again with the ship teleporting all over the place. backward, forward. New Klingon Civil War patrols are unplayable with lag and rubberbanding and pvp worse with lag and freeze up.

Doesn't seem like they're interested in this anymore. Performance Issues survey is no longer an Announcement, this thread as removed as a 'Sticky' looks like we're done here.
Guess this falls into the ever growing list of things that are just 'too hard to fix.'
well we should keep it alive. i know they dont want to see this, thus the removal from sticky. but they should keep seeing it.
a blind eye solves nothing. but then again, many things from this team and company have become very one sided.
You can keep the thread alive if you wish, but if they're not going to do anything.. then bumping the thread won't change that. It seems they have made their decision and decided to do nothing.
Opening up Angel lock boxes, lag hits while opening the box for like 5 seconds, did I get a ship or did I get lag screwed in that 5 second window and get TRIBBLE items? I'm betting on getting screwed. No more money from me.

Same BS bottleneck as always. I'm gonna take the advice I just read. I'll continue to play...but I AM done spending actual money on this game. I encourage anyone to do the same. Only way this will get fixed, is if this starts hurting them financially. This whole "we're looking into it, and we need more data" BS has gotten incredibly tiresome. That dumb@$$ survey we were asked to fill out...right...for all the good THAT did. I can't do ANYTHING anymore without getting rubberbanded, and it occurs a MINIMUM of 5 times every hour.
Well, there is complaints of Lag and Rubberbanding in Lord of the Rings Online as well. Guess what. Their Servers are hosted in Boston as well and Akamai is also in the picture.

Greetings folks, resident Bug Hunter and forum mod here. Not too long ago we had you guys submit some data in hopes of tracking down the Lag Monster that has been rearing his ugly head as of late. We promised you guys the next time we knew something we would be sure to update you guys. The good news is the team has been able to get through all of the data sent in from the last round of mass submissions and there are some working theories the team has been able to come up with to track down this beast. With all theories now comes the time to put them to the test. As you folks know the Lag Beast is a wily one and in order to make sure we're on his trail like we believe, we need some additional help from the community. This is where you folks come in. To help put these theories to the test and make sure we're on the right track we need a second round of data from you guys. This time we need a bit more than the first round. Below is a list of what we need from you guys.
I think the issue is the "invalid skills" respec that causes a SNR. I respeced all 56 of my alts. Most of them 2 months later had the "invalid spec" issue. When I respeced them a SNR occured. I think this generated SNR is what is causing the lag for everyone.

Ouch I feel your pain. The Dyson Battlezone has been throwing the usual rubberbanding tantrums. And to answer your question I think about getting a report back on the data gathered I think this has been swept under the carpet and Cryptic have their fingers in their ears ignoring the problem hoping it will just go away. As of yet I don't think we have had any reassurance that the issue is still being looked into after this thread was unstickied

I can't do ANYTHING anymore without getting rubberbanded, and it occurs a MINIMUM of 5 times every hour.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
I think the issue is the "invalid skills" respec that causes a SNR. I respeced all 56 of my alts. Most of them 2 months later had the "invalid spec" issue. When I respeced them a SNR occured. I think this generated SNR is what is causing the lag for everyone.

Are we ever going to get a report from Cryptic on all the data gathered?
Ouch I feel your pain. The Dyson Battlezone has been throwing the usual rubberbanding tantrums. And to answer your question I think about getting a report back on the data gathered I think this has been swept under the carpet and Cryptic have their fingers in their ears ignoring the problem hoping it will just go away. As of yet I don't think we have had any reassurance that the issue is still being looked into after this thread was unstickied
