My account gameplay differs with two different characters

My main character who is Vulcan, Female, Federation, Science Officer flying an Icarus Sci Pilot Escort and I have Romulan Female, Federation, Science Officer flying an Icarus Sci Pilot Escort. They’re both virtually the same build for the purposes of trying to track down if the problem is on my end, or on yours. All I can say, I've done my homework, and it’s not on my end.
When I log into my Romulan, I experience no lag, or minimal lag, or rubber banding, the performance is good. However, when I’m logged into my main Vulcan character, it’s lag and rubber banding, everywhere. The method to prove this is by doing similar runs with both characters and the experience is totally different. For instance, when I patrol Argala, my Romulan sails through, no lag, no rubber banding. Then, I immediately switch to my Vulcan character, go into the same Argala patrol, it's lag, and rubber banding. The same results were also experienced when going into Defense of Starbase One. Romulan, everything is fine, Vulcan, everything bugged, sluggish performances. This is consistent with everything I’m trying out. I do a run, switch the character, do the same run.
I’ve done everything on my end and thought it could be on my end. But, using the same connection and swapping out characters, has proven that it’s not on my end. The only thing I can determine is that I did create my Vulcan back 2013, while the Romulan is a more recent character.
Please, if you can fix this, it's driving me insane.
