The Dyson ship was one of the first Anniversary ships made available to players a long time ago. As many Anniversary and Event ships have been placed in the Phoenix Pack, I would like to see the Dyson ship moved to the Phoenix Pack. I doubt players, who don't have the ship, are acquiring it at 600 Lobi. I doubt it would even be a loss for the Devs. I'm certain many players would like to acquire it as it would be another useful Sci Admiralty card. In any case, I would love to see this ship made available in the Phoenix Pack. Thanks!

They can acquire it easier for 600 lobi. IF they want the ship. Same w/ the Advanced Obelisk Carrier for 800 lobi. Putting it into the Phoenix Pack away from the lobi store takes the guarantee away. How much dilithium will net you the Phoenix Packs necessary to score one? Who knows? It could end up costing 2 Phoenix Packs, it could be 800-3000. How much lobi is needed? 600, 800 for the carrier. That's all you need to shoot for. At the worst lobi pulls(4 lobi each), that's 150-200 lockboxes you need to open. Most likely will need a good deal fewer in keys for that, since odds are you'll get some pulls with more than 4 lobi. And you can always sell what you get on the exchange in most cases to mitigate the keys you burn. EC is likewise far easier to make than refined dil, since there's no set number limiting how much EC you're restricted from making. If a player truly wants the ship, even for the admiralty card, he or she has the option right now. And can work on earning it. And here's another benefit. IT'S ALWAYS THERE, YEAR ROUND IN THE LOBI STORE! You don't have to waffle about waiting for the next Phoenix Pack drop to give yourself over to the Gambler's Itch.
Back to the drawing board for you. This proposed idea is terrible.
I feel all and all it's a bad idea to even get the ship. If you are going to want something or pay for something you should get the best possible item at that price.
In the T6 era I am just not sure why players would spend lobi on a ship that isn't up to par. If you can't find this ship on the market, chances are people just dont see it worth claiming to sale, and i really don't see it as being worth 100 lobi let alone 6-8.
I have both ships and i really only use them as inventory slots to hold stuff for me.
But maybe I'm wrong, maybe some of the hottest and greatest from the past can go toe to toe with the new era ships. But I doubt it.
Now that i think about it, maybe you're right, maybe they should move both those ships to the phoenix box. If the person can afford 600-800 lobi they prolly can afford a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better ship then this and i just don't see people opening lock boxes so they can get the lobi to get this paticular ship.... a t5u ship... so i agree.... mainly because it is passed its prime as a viable ship and anyone that wants it prolly can't afford it or a better ship.
Meh put it in the event store for 0 ec like a lot of the other reclaimable ships.
I must have spent millions of dilithium on boxes in the past few events, all taken together. This past Phoenix event alone I have spent between 50k and 150k in dilithium terms per character, on a least 8 different characters.
It wouldn't surprise me if I'm well past what could have been 10.000 Zen.
I've only obtained two ultra rare tokens thus far. With 10.000 zen I could have gotten much more lobi than is needed for the ship. Especially if you buy the keys during a key sale and the ship when there's a lobi promotion going on.
The regular Obelisk you can buy from the Fleet Vendor for 2 Fleet Modules and Fleet Credits. It cannot be upgraded to T5U. The Advanced can.

I hope so as well, it was my wish almost a year earlier, for T6 Dyson Ships for various Factions.
Still I think Velqua made a very obvious consideration for why the Dyson Science Destroyer should be moved from Lobi to Phoenix Packs. Keep in mind the T5 Dyson Ships that are in the ZEN store include 9 or three (3) for each Faction. So this ship is a unique Anniversary Edition which is the same one available currently for Lobi! Yet the point made was valid as all Phoenix Packs have included, Winter, Anniversary &/or Summer Event Ships! So on that basis alone I'd fully agree, and Cryptic could due diligence to see how many Dyson Science Destroyers were purchased with Lobi in the last 1-2 years!

NOTE: This represents an EDIT/mistype based on the below note.
They have several T6 Ships (a majority) and hardly any T5 Ships in the Lobi Store:
PS: I believe the 2nd Anniversary also had 2 more Tier 5 Ships. It's just unfortunate that many original T5 ships were unable to T5U activate as these ships!
That certainly expand the # of ships that could be added to Phoenix Packs in the Ultra Category out to 1. Though I suspect there are many now missing T5 Ships they could likely add to the Ultra Phoenix Pack, especially if they didn't include the free upgrade token, yet could be identified would need to be acquired.
Anyways I thought Velqua suggestions was very astute! Good Catch, and a very valid reason for at least asking the question.

As for your last point I know the CSTORE is separate (not included) yet according to the Event / Lobi Ship Dyson Science Destroyer is the same.

They really should put the basic T5 Obelisk back into the "Sphere of Influence" scenario reward. With all the more advanced carriers and flight deck cruisers nowadays it no longer has the novelty factor and really it is no more valuable compared to other T5s than the Ambassador/Kamarag class you get from "Temporal Ambassador" is to other T3 ships. The same is true with the Advanced version, power creep has dragged it down to Fleet level or less so it may as well go to Fleet in place of the basic one that is there now.
It might also encourage some people to upgrade to the advanced (or Fleet if they downgrade it as suggested) version for the sake of space Barbie continuity in a more survivable package.
That or just stick the T5u version in the z-store where it would still generate a bit of cash from those wanting to upgrade from the one from Sphere. Sure, the lobi route generates more cash per ship (a lot more) but the draw does not seem to be enough to get people to actually buy it that way much if at all anymore.
As for the Dyson ships, I am hoping that the little story about Romulans having to do a lot of their shipbuilding in the sphere is a hint that they are working on T6 versions of the z-store ones (or even new ships of that motif) that will be out fairly soon (and that they are going into the z-store where they are accessible instead of gamble boxes). I don't know much about the lobi version, but I hear it is rather lackluster for lobi the same way the Advanced Obelisk is and maybe it should be downgraded to fleet or z-store or something too.

That depends on how often you buy R&D and Doff packs or keys to open lockboxes. For a lot of the FtP people (myself included) that is not very often at all since they are too expensive to actually fit the "microtransaction" scheme and it would take years to build up enough lobi to get anything worthwhile from the lobi store. I have never bought keys or R&D packs and only get Doff packs when I am looking to improve doff crews (and then only when they are on sale) because it just is not in the budget to do so.
On the other hand, Phoenix boxes can be acquired for free and the only UR token I have came from a free box (I have bought a lot of the dil store boxes too, I just never got better than VR out of them).
EVERYTHING on PC besides LTS can be acquired for free. Not just phoenix packs. Let's use keys as an example. I'll round the key price to 4.5 million EC since I'm too lazy to log in and check the exchange right now. You can very very easily earn 4.5 million EC per day to purchase a key off the exchange. If you really know what you're doing, you can make way more EC. Even 100 million a day. And that's small potatoes compared to the rich players in this game. So for the purposes of spacepoor players, let's assume they can only earn about 1 key worth of ec per day.
At an average of 5 lobi per key, you would need to grind about 120 days to buy enough keys off the exchange to earn enough lobi to buy the lobi dyson ship. Now let's look at phoenix packs. Say you're still talking about the same spacepoor player. Let's say they can earn 16,000 dilithium per day across their account (complete guess since everyone grinds a different number of characters). Assuming a 40,000 dilithium price for a 10 pack of phoenix packs, at 16,000 dilithium per day, you earn about 4 phoenix packs per day. Over a 120 day period, you'd earn about 480 phoenix packs worth of dilithium.
So using these two scenarios we can see that grinding for lobi over 120 days nets you a 100% chance to unlock the lobi dyson ship. Whereas grinding for 480 phoenix packs over the same period gives you 480 chances of whatever the chance to get a UR token is (bad news: the chances are really really terrible). So it actually depends on a lot of things. How good are you at generating EC? How good are you at generating dilithium? How lucky are you with your phoenix pack drops? How easily persuaded are you to just open up your wallet? Every player will be different.
In my case if I wanted a ship and I knew it could be phoenix or lobi, I'd take lobi any day of the week. Hands down. No argument. End of story.
I thought the Enterprise C was the first reward? Or wasn't the Dyson carrier? I'm still annoyed at that, because I discarded it to make space, before it became an account reward ship :-(
Probably better that the price of the lobi ship is dropped to the 400-450 mark.
