Is there any way to save patching progression?

I've decided to reinstall STO after getting a whole new PC, and the patching is excruciatingly slow (that's not new, however, it's always been that way)... What irks me though, is that there is seemingly no way to save the patching progression if ever I lose my internet connection or need to close my comp for whatever reason. Each time, the whole patching has to be done all over again, making it rather tedious.

Am I missing something here, or is there no way to save the progression at all? Thanks all for your answers.
