I mean it's not bad, just kinda "meh"? Well it's cool that we get a second sector space bank/mail/exchange but I'm wondering how it will interact with the Azura/Vov'wI/Suliban cooldowns.
I hope "travels towards a random friendly player" means what it really means and not what the KM's captain usually thinks it means ("travels towards the closest enemy squadron here to shoot you").
Suffer through 14 days of the kamikaze maru only to get an item that rubs salt into the wound every time you clicky it.
This is guessing that the "content" of the event is still the trashy nonsense that the weekender was as you'd get dangerously dehydrated applying enough spit to polish it.
Looks like a 14 day event. Don't see any 3x Ultimate Tech Upgrade as it was given last time. Perhaps due to the shorter time needed to complete? Or perhaps a typo since it mentions 3X Featured reward boxes? then again this could just be random rewards. Thanks for the info.
it's the same 3x reward boxes from events prior to the system revamp - either 3x 25k no dil cost tech upgrades, 3 spec points or any combination therein

Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

Its a shame the Kobayashi Maru has been turned into what was for me the top 3 content in the game into this horrible event that I rate as among the worst content. I really wish we had the original back as this revamp for me ruined the event.
Is there any indication about whether the FTFO turn-in is good only for this event or will continue into future events?
I have a lot of the commendations sitting around.
There's really no indication of anything yet seeing as this is essentially accidentally leaked information from the Tribble server, and there has been no official announcement from Cryptic. As this is from Tribble, it's subject to change. Best not to make any speculations and wait for an official announcement next week.

Ultimate Tech Upgrades have been given out exactly once, with the Elachi ship.
Little events like this usually just give out some dil and "tfo boxes" good for a spec point or a minor tech upgrade NOT ultimate

Normally I would do the event because shiny is good, especially with the potential of helping an alt.
But in this case I am probably going to take this event off, especially with the event fatigue I'm suffering.
A space based Combat Supply doesn't really appeal to me. Not only that it kinda sounds redundant with the Azura.

Yeah. That's what I figured. I was just hoping ALL events going forward might be like the last one. That was a juicy bonus for sure.

I really like that ship device & am extremely glad Cryptic is allowing us to use-up those FTO tokens too. I've never found this event too terrible & I usually enjoy it, but I accept I might be off my rocker.

hmm, somehow I got convinced by something someone said to dump all those tokens. What did I get for them? I don't even remember - dil? eh, I guess never throw anything out eh.
Looking forward to skipping this event. Do not want prize.

I have 60 Tokens saved. I bought every Featured TFO Bundle that they had released. It was a cheaper way of getting the Ultimate Tech Upgrades and provided a cushion if I needed it. The cushion came in that after getting the Tokens, I still ran the Featured TFO for 20-21 times each time.
Now, with the buyout, you could run the Kobayashi 21 times for Dilithium. Under the previous TFO rules that would be 577,500 Dilitium (plus the initial 50,000). Since they have capped out the escalating award to 25,000 max per day that means the total could be 412,500 Dilitium. Since this is per Account you could use multiple Characters to spread out the Dilitium rewards to minimize refining time. Overall, this seems to be a good reworking for the 14 (21) day Featured TFOs.
As far as the TFO itself, it is nothing special but could be better as it is hindered by the lemming behavior of the Kobayashi. I'm not going to say that it is the greatest thing since sliced bread, in fact, I have no love or hate for it. It just is.
It does seem that they have settled on a paridigm for these type TFO Events. Event Version, Normal difficulty, max 6-7 rounds, then the TFO is put into regular rotation with unlimited rounds and selectable difficulty.

Still...I'm glad I can skip this one as the Maru is a suicidal ship that makes me wish we could tractor it
