From the latest Tribble patch notes.
Caitians and Ferasans have finally learned how to properly open their mouths.
Hair physics have been added to all Caitian and Ferasan hairstyles and fur facial features, including whiskers.
Caitian and Ferasan ears are now animated.
Hair physics have been added to appropriate male and female hairstyles and mouth accessories for all NPCs and players.
NPC and Player Sphere Builder ships now have animated parts.
So with all this terrific new work to Caitains, are finally going to get the classic M'Ress hair style for them as well?

We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
But we have plenty of other 'long hair' options available for characters that don't have clipping issues, and now with the extra work to Caitian heads, it shouldn't be a problem 'physics-wise'. Besides Caitian hair is only available for Caitains, so it isn't like they have to get it to work with all character models.

Depends on what they bring in. Cryptic won't be able to touch the Kzinti stuff though, as that's owned by Larry Niven.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
That's what Kirk really should have been mentioning to Sybok and the god-impostor in STV.
Anyways, you'd have to look at each ep individually to figure out which ones they could use. The ep with the Phylosians has already gotten mentioned in STO. Several eps are problematic because from the PoV of TOS they were fine, but the picture they painted of the galaxy was at odds with later works. The Mad Planet ep mentioned several races that were depicted as powerful civilizations, but never mentioned again in any Star Trek episode. Some of the races were used in novels, but not episodes.
