Destructible Torpedo Speed

The flight speed for destructible torpedoes is painfully slow, even with traits and set bonuses to boost them. I have the Torpedo Pre-Fire Sequence trait that boosts the projectile speed, and the 2-piece reman set for high yield flight speed, and i see one of three things happening in order of most to least likely to occur. First, The target is destroyed by mine or a teammates directed energy fire before the torpedo impacts, resulting in a wasted torpedo and possibly a BOff power to augment the torpedo. Second, the torpedo is shot down before impacting by the multitude of enemies all spamming scatter volley or fire at will, giving the same results as before. Which leaves the third result, which is that the torpedo impacts its target as intended. Obviously for those that want to run a torpedo that has a destructible projectile either by default or as a result of a High-Yield, this is suboptimal at best, and detrimental to the point of choosing another weapon to use at worst. Therefore, I would propose that all torpedoes, regardless of destructability have the same flight speed as their indestructible counterparts (Yes, that includes the scary plasma torpedoes of doom that the Borg fire). Failing that, I would propose that the launchers that have a destrutible projectile be changed to use the same mechanic as the Enhanced Bio-Molecular Torpedo from the 8472 Counter Command Rep. Either way, it should be an easy fix, and I hope that it happens soon.

That's not how these torpedoes work. They are, in general, larger and heavier, which accounts for the massive damage they do, and just like torpedoes in real life, can be hit and destroyed, which is a wholly fair mechanic to use in-game. Canon reasons mean these torpedoes are not packed with the micro-impulse and warp-sustainer coils they need to maintain extreme velocities that you see with Photons etc, and other more nuanced guidance systems.

This is not a 'fix' you're asking for, as it is not broken. Such a fundamental change would alter game-balance greatly.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
