I really wanted to get both an Andrea and a Brown Robot from the Fleet K7, so I saved up...but then wasn't allowed to buy a Brown, because I already had an Andrea. Why is there a restriction on having both, or am I doing something wrong? I do have space for more BOFF's, so I know it's not that.
Why? For the same reason why you can only have one LTS Android. For the same reason you can only have one Diplomacy/Marauding BOFF. For the same reason you can only have one C-Store Borg Engineer. Because it's designed that way.

Same thing happened to me, OP. I too saved up to get both and was disappointed when I could only purchase one. Disappointed, but not surprised.
@baddmoonrizin, no reason to be snarky about it. The examples you give are all singular bridge officers. You know full well there are other purchasable bridge officers of which you can own more than one. There is no set precedent that would make this decision obvious and it is made less so by the fact that there are multiple types of these bridge officers available. It is an easy mistake, and to my knowledge there is no in-game indication of this limitation.

There was no snarkiness in what they said. That is what you are perceiving but I do not believe it is true.

Indeed. No snark intended. Just statement of fact. They simply don't want you having more than one of them. For the record, I'd love the option of having them both. Just as I'd love the option of being able to have more than one Diplomacy/Marauding BOFF. Alas, it is not meant to be.

Especially with Alienware giving away a Federation Orion Science Boff.

Who wants 'Brownie' anyway? It's not like we have a Holo Nurse Chapel availible for the Crew.

I used an Orion, but you can take a human boff and dress her to look like Andrea.
