-Al mentions that if you have progress in old events in the old event tab you will be auto rewarded with total completion. And after you claim the rewards for any event you have started but left unfinished, the event tab in the reputation UI will go away.
-He also mentions a variation on something the EP mentioned awhile back about TFO playlists, but this time its an event playlist, where everyday the thing you have to do to earn points is different, so the new event UI would update daily on what you have to do.
-They are looking to add more dil sinks.
-The average person earned 1.8 times the event rewards dilithium due to completing accounts on Alts, and that was the target they tried to hit for the new system(old system you could earn 64K dil, which multiplied by 1.8 = 115.2K. New system lets you earn 135k dil without buyout)
-Also states this 1.8 figure was the result of a VERY small number of people completing events on a large number of alts.
-They may try a patrol based event, or a playlist based event, after the next featured TFO event.
-Event participation has only gone up even with the constant events.
-Will likely do something like the ship coupon meta again.
-New system supports the possibility of running multiple events at once, or temporarily pausing events to do a different event.
-Unused FTFO tokens will be used to get event progress in a future event, not something like energy credits or something like that.
-Again made the comment they only had one or two more story ideas for STO, and that all these new Trek shows coming out has given them a wealth of new stuff to work with.

Yep, there are a minority of Farmers Online who are the first to complain about changes that nerf farming while often making life easier for more casual players.
Farming isn't bad or an exploit, it's just that farmer-friendly features don't always benefit the majority who aren't planting dil-crops.
For example, casuals benefit from being able to earn shared event progress across their 2-3 characters (Fed + x or Fed + other Fed). Farmers hate not being able to do the full event on 10+ alts for 10+ times the dil.

In other words, only peeps who didn't know better farmed events.
Or perhaps some of us just had a bad early experience by not being able to finish an event due to actual life circumstances, so we plan in advance and run events to give us just a bit of breathing space.
That, and of course, people running team-based events more than the bare minimum ensure adequate participation throughout the entire run of an event, rather than queues emptying during the last few days.
Not everyone has nefarious reasons for doing what they do. Personally, I don't need the extra unrefined dil for anything, as I have at least 1 million on each alt and 2 million on older ones.
Game balance, player choice, and tradeoffs - all mechanics have pros and cons that vary depending on the individual player.
Me: Farming isn't bad or an exploit,
Your response: Not everyone has nefarious reasons
I specifically said farming isn't evil. Many of the complaints were about losing the dil, but yes some of them were from people wanting to skip events or at least partially pre-fill them.
Cryptic does seem to consider skipping events completely an exploit, and has worked to stop that starting with the event ships. Pre-filling events would be useful sometimes but Crytpic is generous with extra days (10 extra days for this 20-day event) and also has the buy-out option if you need to skip more than 10 days.
