I'd love to have a movie-era bridge to put on some of the ships of that time. Which we actually have a fair number. The Georgiou is a newly designed ship fitting that time, plus the Miranda and Centaur got awesome skin updates not too long ago. Add in the Excelsior, the Stargazer, and the Connie (and eventual T6 Oberth, lol), and there's some opportunity to get some use out of it. Even the Ambassador kinda fits in that space too.
If we were to get a movie-era bridge, which would be your choice?
Note: bridges like the Enterprise and Enterprise-A went through minor changes over each movie, of course. And I've combined the ones that are super-similar.

Would love the Enterprise E Bridge. Cause technically we dont have it (not scene accurate). Though, I know not to get my hopes up. Bridges relatively speaking are massive amount of work for Cryptic for little return. It would need to be in a featured episode or several.
Nothing against Cryptic, as i more than understand investment wise Bridges are not worth it.

The Ent-A had touchscreens while the refit had more buttons and toggle switches. Also the Ent-A had more usable spaces and displays for data vs the refit.

Nope. The only thing that was preserved from the original bridge were the turbolift alcoves as much of the set was damaged some time around TVH, which is why we only saw a small part of it at the end of that movie. It’s pretty much an entirely new set starting at TFF and redressed for TUC. Now, the Stargazer bridge is the original TMP/TWOK/TSFS/TVH bridge with some redressing, also used as the E-D battle bridge. That said, I definitely would love to see the TWOK bridge, fire extinguishers and everything. And bring back the Monster Maroon uniforms while they’re at it!
The refit would have been better if they would have gone with a cleaner, organically curved design instead of the square bezeled mats on the walls that the ring of control stations had, the weird beige color scheme, and the klunky greebles on the walls. Minimalist is fine, it worked in TOS, but the key to use the walls and features themselves as the design, and not all that extrainious junk. On top of that, Chekov's tactical station looks like the controls were stuck in an old kitchen cabinet or something with that weird corbel it has.
The Ent-A bridge at least looks like the designers were not trying to play it both ways and avoided the plastic-toy look the refit had.
If building the E-A bridge, I would like to see the TUC version. I like the warmer reds and burgundies over the lighter tans that were used in the earlier TFF incarnation. Guess I’m just a sucker for Nick Meyer’s design choices.
> I am technically correct, the best kind of correct.
You claimed that the Enterprise refit bridge is the same as the Enterprise-A bridge, then continued to prove your point by demonstrating that they are, in fact, different bridges.
To be honest the only bridge I really care about having at this point is the Discovery Constitution's.

Unless they can find someway to have a featured episode featuring a Donnie. Where you need to go onto the bridge (maybe it could captured and you need to take it back) i dont think it will happen sadly. Which is a shame, its a very fine lass of a bridge.
'Beyond the Nexus' was the Infomercial Episode for the Galaxy Bridge.

I want the bridge from the Ancient Insectoid ship! It looked super cool!
Don't make me choose. I would want more than one of them.
1701-refit, the exact version of The Motion Picture. Always thought that was the best it ever looked.
1701-A from The Final Frontier. I prefer that one to the TUC-Version.
Excelsior NX and NCC would both be cool.
Grissom's bridge would be neat, too.
Ent-C and Stargazer are early 24th-century and don't go into the TMP-era for me - More like 'Lost Era'.
I'd also like to mention that all proposed bridges were originally the exact same set, just constantly redressed for whatever was needed during the shows and movies. So, it wouldn't even be that much work other than small details and texturing.

Yeah I feel you. I just figure that the likelihood of us getting any bridge from the TOS movie era is small, so wanted to see if there was a consensus on which one.
And to everyone saying the behind-the-scenes details of the sets... does it matter? They were each meant to be different sets in canon. I just grouped a couple together because they have the least changes.

It matters if you consider that essentially, you need to make only one of these bridges to have the basic canvas for the others. The only actual work would be to make the basic consoles and chairs as well as the different sets of textures, but most of it would be rather modular aside from very small touches.

That's what I was going for with the groupings, yeah. Sets that are similar enough to work that way.
Though I love every bridge from the TMP era (including the guest ships of TNG like the Constellation or Sidney), the only ones I'd spend time in would be the bridges from V or VI. V is my favourite bridge though it's a little futuristic for the era, and VI is the absolute best, it looks like all the best bits from the NX, Kelvin, Crossfield, and TWoK bridges.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Why should Cryptic put in the man hours and spend the money on something players use infrequently or not at all? I'd rather the Dev Team spend time on missions or TFOs. Sure the Galaxy interior and the TOS interior are both very nice. I bought both. I thought about purchasing the Voyager interior as well. Then it occurred to me, "Naah. Too much money for one more thing I don't use."

Because the Ent-A had better lighting and touchscreens probably.
